I said I've never voted GOP in my life. But now you're equating me with Ben Shapiro. Nice.

I’m not equating you to Ben Shapiro, but you said you’re both concerned about inequality, but also said that you’re becoming a one issue voter and implied you would consider voting GOP because of their stance on crypto regulation. You’re the one who posted in support of GOP whip.

You may become a single issue voter, but the parties themselves don’t care much about your particular issue, all things considered.

You become a single issue voter, then hostility towards programs for the needy is what comes attached.

You guys should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves for cheering this on. This is un-American and dictator like behavior by what is supposed to be the best example of democracy in the world.

“I think that they overreacted to what they saw was our problem with data, which may well have existed, but the data was improving. I think sloppy data is not a reason to close a bank that you have not decided was insolvent, and they’ve never said we were insolvent.”

Human laundry pile Barney Frank over here effectively saying his data wasn’t good enough to prove they were insolvent…which seems to be a good reason for regulators to shut you down in a crisis before people get fucked.

I cannot think of anyone posting in any of these threads that thinks this was a good idea. Care to elaborate?

Yeah, Barney Frank of Dodd/Frank and of the 2018 watering down thereof? Chris Dodd is strangely silent.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I think Dodd burned his financial markets good name back during the AIG/countrywide fiascos and keeps his retirement efforts focused on politics these days.

WTF--we can't even get rid of the penny. Now THERE is some financial idiocy--a one cent coin that costs 2 cents to make.
All I know is that when the power goes out I'm glad I sold all my bitcoin and bought canned food.
Now as far as the collapse of the Roman Empire--maybe it was their financial system, but I heard it was the lead in the pipes. Which could explain a lot of what's happening in the US.

Come on man. There was a run on a bank. The Feds shut down the bank. One of the bank's directors complains that the bank was fine and didn't need to be shut down. You take the bank director's comments at face value and declare the action was therefore "un-American and dictator like". Seriously? Just because the bank director claimed anti-crypto bias?

By the way, the word you were looking for is "dictatorial."

    Bitcoin....who's gotten into it?

Wow! Lots going on here! School lunch to the apocalypse. Love it!

If the BTC shills could just accept that they hope to get rich off their digital beanie babies at the expense of others and stop pretending it has utility that it does not have, or that it will do something absurd like combat climate change or fight off zombies, this would be a fairly civil, speculative conversation.

But dumb motherfuckers like stale and byates have so much insane religious fervor about the whole thing it always devolves to the last few pages almost instantly.

    At least it’s occasionally entertaining.
    focus.

I almost didn’t include you, but that felt like singling out stale and this is TGR. Shit slinging isn’t supposed to be discriminatory.

    Also fuck you.

What's interesting to me is how a few proponents of BTC/crypto choose to spend so much time here arguing with people who are disbelievers in it and trying to convince them (?) they are wrong.
    I know, I know.
No, I'm not new to the internet.

I have a handful of things I know a lot about, other things I am very passionate about, and things I am just stubbornly opinionated about, and I may toss out a post here and there to drop knowledge or an opinion, but to return again and again to have the same arguments over and over, on the same subjects, with the same people is.....odd to me.

I've been trading Bitcoin for a few years now and I'm loving it. I've seen a lot of people getting into it lately and I thought it would be cool to see who's here and who's into it.

We're all into it and we also have video of you watching porn online, so you need to send us a few bitcoin to make this problem disappear.

I’d be happy to trade you some DNIYM for some of your BTC. DNIYM is robust and on the upswing

This guy seems to be about to enter a real bet for $1M (or 2 bets for $1M each?) to $26k that Botcoin is going to be valued at more than $1M USD within 90 days:
