A new one just opened here. Called Pho20. Not joking.

    Consensus reviews are good.

No tripe or tendon, but no engrish either (read passable understanding, yeah!).

So, I'm willing to try it.

    I don't get out often.

RE: Vail Valley, not pho - There is a place that is ok near safeway called Gohan-ya, but one time I went in there and they had a spicy shrimp ramen on special and it was really, really fucking good. Since then I've gone in and asked them if they could still make it and they do most of the time. It's worth a shot.

Seems that Pho 20 is in Avon: http://www.yelp.com/biz/pho-20-vietn...and-grill-avon

IME the "Vail Valley" is everything between Edwards and the Pass, with the Town of Vail called "Vail proper." If that's now passe please let me know.

Most of what we all really, really like were peasant or street foods.

I've never been to Pho Dang, but I've heard good things. I'm a big fan of Pho Hong in the Old North End of Burlington. Good, cheap food in a BYOB restaurant.

TO the SLC contingent, Asia Palace for the win, my favorite by far, and close to work.If I could drive here over going to Pho Tay Ho or Oh Mai, I would when I get the cravings at home.
other good options in no particular order include:
    Pho tay ho
    Oh mai
    Pho Cali
    Green Papaya.

Add to list, TNT PHO in Frederick MD, on the Golden Mile. (west side of town) Opened recently, somewhat limited menu but seems pretty darn good.

Also in Fredneck is Lucky Corner, not far from downtown and Brewers Alley.

Always been a fan of the usual beef + entrails pho since a friend put me onto it in Seattle back in the early 90s.

Just recently though a shop opened in town that makes this "house special" concoction with shrimp, lemongrass, BBQ pork, lettuce, an entire fried drumstick, and some sort of enriched plutonium spice mix. Different than any other pho I've had. That shit is addictive. Basically been there weekly since I tumbled onto it. Thinking its more central highlands Vietnamese or something. Was there Wednesday, had trouble not ordering 2 bowls. Anybody heard of something like this?

As a matter of fact, I'll probably head there today for lunch.
