In the run out at a speed skiing contest... beat the first aid team and make a lo-ball offer.

Try poking around on Sun Peaks Speed Skiing Club Facebook page. Also check their likes pages (vars etc.)

Also just straight up google "speed skis for sale"

    Good one moose ... I lol'd.

Call Ian at Mcsporties up at Sun Peaks. He's usually got a pair or two hiding in the rafters.

Is 216 enough? I've got some Nordica DH skis w/Marker 14s that I never touch.

I think I saw some at Level Nine a few years ago. Might call and see if they're still there.

Thanks Tom. Got in contact with the club but no response yet...

Keith, tried google/ebay/craigslist with no luck.

Blizzard, YA thats what I want but can't justify spending $800.

Might have to go to Sunpeaks in March and take Moose's advice.

Surely someone out there must have a lead on anaffordable pair?

There is a pair of new 216 down hill Volkls at the ski shop down the street from me (they might be longer?). I know you said Used but you never know, the price might be right, the shop told me they were simply given to them by Volkl. Their in Toronto but I'm sure they would ship them. I know their flat and was told Volkl would supply a plate for them. Damn things have approximately a 2-3 mm thick Ti top sheet and look insanely fast. Look up Kenmark Sports in Richmond Hill and ask to talk to either Ken or Jeff.

So how fast is that? curious, as I just topped out on my GPS at the local hill at 92 Km/h on some new to me race stock GS skis and those felt like rocketships, and likely the fastest I've ever intentionally descended on skis. I don't have anything local where I could even consider DH skis or even longer. So how fast is "extremely fast"? I think I heard over the weekend that the World cup racers just broke the 100mph / 160 km/h mark in DH, you getting up there?

Please note that i am in no way dissing your pursuit of extreme speed. But just to clarify. You are gonna head to the hill and rock out 150km/hr or whatever on some groomer just for the f*#k of it. Please go-pro this s*#t for both posterity and our enjoyment.

    Ya, that is the plan.
GoPro wouldn't do the speed justice.

Oh ya. I talked to the Sun Peaks guys as you suggested and Adam offered some new Atomics. Good deal but they were pushing my budget. I PMd Nigel, thanks.
