Rail Jam is Sunday at 4pm. Not sure where they're placing the features, but hopefully within full easy view of the deck. The plan was lower Hocus Pocus, but who knows given the lack of snow. Prizes will be handed out to top 3 finishers. I'm trying to figure out how I can judge AND enter!

I'm in the boardroom of a state owned Chinese coal company and out the window you cannot see the building next to it due to smog. When asked how they will overcome lack of profitability the cfo's answer is more volume. Reminds me of the old snl banking skit about making change.

All I can think about its that angry inch Magic got and getting up there Saturday night after I land at home. I look forward to seeing you all shortly.

Also I have a pair of 189 faction alias 100s gathering dust. Am considering donating to Magic ski shop, do you guys think it is a good idea? Perhaps a contribution to the "demo fleet" ? Anyone else got anything similar to donate if this works out? I have a pair of adjustable look bindings I promised to goniff at some point that I'm trying to dig up

good times at magic with get amped yesterday. lazy afternoon laps, a spicy bloody mary, and the chef prepared food with vegetables in it (and no bacon).

with the help of yesterdays VSR & sacrifice to ULLR, we should be well on our way to deep days

Many pairs on non-Dew skis in there. Got a whole new fleet last year. 20+ pairs. Could always use more though! I also have several pairs of my own skis in there. Kokomas, I think that was me on those binders. Not a big deal either way. I do have a couple pairs of flat skis in there if anyone wants to mount them up.

I thought about throwing them on some Explosivs for demo. I have 180 & 190 neon beauties. Maybe they could be "test pilot" skis for those suspect rope "closure" days. We can send DoWork out for trail quality control.

Thursday was good. Glad you were there to make some laps 'cause otherwise it was pretty deserted. Skipped Friday, got in a good 1/2 day Saturday before pumping out the tunes for my friend's 80th (that's right E-I-G-H-T-I-E-T-H) birthday party. Her kids tell her they're putting a party together and what would she like? Turns out, dancing. So plenty of 40s Big Band tunes to Foxtrot, Lindy and Waltz to. Sunday was challenging: lot's of people (for Magic) combined with not a lot of open/skiable terrain plus a race makes for dodging a lot of moving obstacles on ice. Put in 10 runs anyway and was happy to catch Kokomas (and Mrs. Kokomas on slowshoes) at the end of the day. Went ice skating at the local rink today. Felt oddly similar to Sunday without the vertical variation...

At least 2 pairs of skis were sacrificed in my little fire Saturday night..

Oh, and we got immediate results. 3" of fluff came out of the sky.

So jetlagged i only got two hours in Sunday but six ok runs and great company.

I dropped those faction alias of at the shop to donate to the fleet, the guys seemed kinda surprised but said they can track down some demo bindings for them so a new possibility at the shop soon if you all have friends looking to rent.

Rusty, i will try to track down those bindings to give to you (i got them for real cheap from a stand up mag)

I must say, I had a total blast this weekend. Got some shit done Saturday, fresh snow and plenty of human gates Sunday, empty mounatain w/ even more fresh and amazing groomed Monday... Skied right up until last chair and the trails were just getting better and better. I had so much fun and I can't wait to get back.

Man I hope they can squeeze a few inches out of the next few systems though. Just seeing the hill all white again is making me anxious. Every little bit brings us *that* much closer to skiing the trees!

A few years ago when I lost one Mantra in a 3 foot Magic pow day I spent the rest of my day on the mountain dew skis and it was TOUGH. I'm glad to hear the fleet is improving! It was thanks to TGR I got my skis back, and now those are my rock solid rock skis.... Carry on and enjoy the magic!

Thinking of coming up tomorrow, is it any better then the 5 trails on the report indicates?

Unless they manage to blow enough snow on Wizard/Talisman to open them or they drop the ropes on Medium and/or Up Your Sleeve, it's actually going to be worse than the 5 trails on the report since Showoff will be closed for a race.

^^^You'll have to ask kokomas as I bailed on him this morning (I'm really sorry!). I re-tweaked my back shoveling last night and couldn't even put socks on this AM.

I spent the day brewing an American Pale Ale and a Steam beer instead.

You were so close and then got set back 10 years.

It's a pretty sweet time I can tell you.

Will be out Saturday and Sunday trying to figure out how to ski.

I'm out for this weekend, so naturally it should snow 6" or more. Enjoy it, and remember to buy me a beer to thank me.
