need help finding suspension bolt for my 2008 Norco Fluid
The bolt that holds my shock to my linkage has a stripped out head. See photos.
LBS called Norco and they only sell a complete bolt kit for the suspension - and they wanted $80. Forget that!
OD is 8mm and I think the bolt length is 61mm? Frame is a 2008 Norco Fluid.
Anyone know where I might be able to find something like this? Not too many Norco dealers up here, let alone ones that carry bolts for 5 year old frames.

I've broken similar bolts (on a different frame) and found replacements at a hardware store. It won't be as pretty, but it'll get the job done.

well, of the two halves, the screw head is way more stripped out than the binding post.
I found a low-profile socket head cap screw online that matches with M6 thread - so I've taken care of the worse half of the problem.
But I have a feeling that finding an 8mm diameter binding post at a hardware store will not be that easy._______________________________________________

yeah - the replacements I found definitely weren't the same type of bolt - I just found a bolt with the proper diameter that had a shank that was about the same length as the binding post portion of the old bolt. So for you that'd just be an 8mm bolt with a ~60mm shank. That bolt + washer + nut got the job done just fine. I had the cut the excess threads off the end of it, so there were just enough threads for a low-ish profile nut.
Like I said - not as pretty, but functionally much better (I bent / snapped 3 of the original bolts in ~1 year, replacement hardware store bolt has lasted ~6 years).

Good call toast ... something like this might work if I can't find something closer to OEM
