Just for followup on this I popped up to the shop on the weekend at closing time. Dan's 6 year old 'muscle' was at the door as bouncer but I pushed past. His wife was just hauling a couple of boxes of t shirts in envelopes over to the post office. There were boxes of other packaged and addressed t shirts all over the place and in the back on a chair was a foot high stack of printed out emails for shirt orders not yet processed. If anyone is waiting on a shirt they're working at them but having trouble catching up. Best marketing dollars Dan never spent. The lawyers at the heart of this were apparently a Canadian firm hired to deal with all things Canada and not in house with Specialized. The way I read the ASI bit is Specialized licensed Roubaix from ASI but the agreement apparently stated they had no right to copyright that licensed name anywhere including Canada. So while Specialized lawyers were defending a Canadian copyright they never had the right to take out the copyright in the first place. Anyway at a pretty good price per tshirt the whole thing has worked out pretty good for him. Good quality shirts by the way, I bought 2.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy
