One doesn't. You have to reach down and turn the heel. The DEMO one I saw required a bit of a trick to keep the brake down but it seemed like an easy problem to fix and not something built into the main part of the binding.
Edit: it didn't reply with quote from a phone, I was trying to reply to Steve

Looks easier to step into than in the Vipec demo for sure. Kind of odd you can stay in the binding to switch from tour to ski but have to step out from ski to tour? Forward pressure elasticity looks nice, interesting to see how far they can be pushed.

My one repeatable let down in my Dynafit bindings is: small drop with some force into powder, ski decambers, I rebound out of the pow lining up the next turn, ski then rapidly over cambers as I rebound, heel pins pull back a few mm and release, insta-tele in deep snow with some speed in trees... with my head leading the charge. It happens a few times every season, and I don't usually get much air.
Life is not lift served.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKAQtyPORy0 - 1:30 for you neckbeard
Locked toe - locks brake for touring
Heel lifts like Radical
Forward pressure spring to aid with insta tele
Ramps in toe as a bootstop when inserting boot into toe
Toe wings stay open; no annoying Onyx mechanism of entry requiring pole to be used to hold down a lever
Van halen mode to switch from tour to ski at 3:08

Subscribed, had high hopes for the Onyx that were dashed. Maybe this one will be better?
My eye keeps looking at how close the toe piece mounting holes are to the edge.
Forward elastisity looks good.watch out for snakes

G3 skis have come a long way (from crap to pretty darn good). Hope these bindings follow suit.

Looks like they're staying with their proprietary ski crampons (instead of adopting the more-or-less interchangeable Tech crampon slot).
Judging by the New Year's Day video, seems like the heel height is pretty typical but the toe pincers are jacked up a bit to allow more space under the toe springs so as to be able to clear snow/ice out with a finger.Mo' skimo here: NE Rando Race Series

less ramp angle compared to dynafit would be nice.

Lee. Would be great to get a comparison between this and the BD binding. Actual elasticity numbers/percentages?
Looks more durable than the BD but time will tell.
With both, still question the icing issues but time will tell.
Thanks for the vid. Gotta love the shades and bro speak. Lol.

BD only make tele bindings... why compare a tele binding to a tech?
