Are we sure?! I hear he went up to a 27.5 shell. I think skiing in a reasonable shell size drops the PSIA level. Let’s call it level 11.

It’s with a a heavy heart I report Lou Lou Knubler passing on. A true legend and pioneer in the Inland Northwest Ski story. A former French team member out of Savoie, France, Lou Lou went on to build a series of ski shops around our area was top notch. He was also a innovator in instruction and helped jackass become what it is today.
I won’t even go into the impact he had on me (and others) as a Skier.
Hope he is turning them up in heaven
    RIP Lou Lou

We were just talking about Lou Lou last week, wondering how he was doing. He definitely made a mark on the local scene in very positive ways. Truly legendary in these parts. RIP Lou Lou, you'll be missed.

I was literally grabbing my gear to sneak in some afternoon turns when I saw they were shut down due to lightning. Spring powder dreams dashed.

Yay! Winter came back to Jackass! 10” of beautiful surfy pow over the entire place with much more in the right spots if you knew where to look. Such a killer day out. Skied fresh lines most of the day inbounds then went out for more freshness. Started on Protests then swapped to Lhasa’s! Hot damn I love both those skis so much.
I also second Shroom with more like this next year please.
Only pic of the day, headed back down. Weapons…

Got a few laps this afternoon up at the Schwiz. Some decent turns up top and really heavy lower down. More cream cheese than POW but it was soft and there were fresh lines to be had!

The snow managed to hold up shockingly well, I thought. Even more surprised today, but I gotta think it's corn now after 7 hours above 32 on the snowtel.

Nothing against corn, but I'm bummed. Even highlighting the loss of Slow Ghost lately, the last week was a good run.

Another sick day at Silver. Full sun, tons of fresh lines left. Super soft fast chopped pow to destroy. Fast groomers to rip. Legs are tired after the last two days of mashing high speed lap after lap. Great end to weekday operations.

The box fan must be running on low today, I tried searching this thread for “bootfitter” “boot fitter” “boot fitting” and even just “boot” and got one result from 2014 even though I know there was a discussion this winter.

Somebody recommended a good fitter over in Idaho and I can’t find it/remember. I need some stretching done on my new touring boots. Basic forefoot punches for width and custom footbeds on brand new ZGTP.

Otherwise I’ll just drive over to Seattle and see GregL but the extra $175 in gas to get there and back makes it an expensive proposition.

Rolling to silver tomorrow for pow fest. Last full weekend ops. Can’t believe they close on a Saturday next weekend, so bizarre.
