    You might call Nils at Altai Ski, that’s there backyard and they frequent the pass. Maybe they can give you a short synopsis.

    What, injured again?! Sorry dude, that sucks.

    I know, I know, the Black Crows are so trendy, but I bought them used on here with Shifts for a deal I couldn’t pass up and they’ve been a great 50/50 ski. I’ve got some DPS Lotus 120’s I would’ve rather been on but couldn’t get the holes to line up with previous mounts and the binders I had in hand. Hopefully I’ll get that sorted soon. If your Protests are feeling lonely, let me know and I can give them some love . Hope you get healed up and can get back on the hill soon!

    the parkinglot party at 49 was big fun. happy spring skiing in the sun, followed by onewheeling in the mud then beers and friends around the fire

    this may become a bday tradition;

    in other news Becki got back on the skis after a knee replacement and is feeling good about next season

    managed a couple runs this weekend at 49*, I luuuv that spring slush but the sore knee and sticky dirty snow kept me from surfin it all day. at least the beers on the deck in the sun made a good consolation prize

    I have not seen the snow this dirty at the swizz for many years, way worse than JA North was yesterday, I'm a firm believer in one ball jay graphite wax to minimize the goo sticking to the base.

    no Free Week this year,
    management is concerned that too many
    contaminated beaters would show up
    .... and thats straight from Bakken

    (they could have come up with an online
    first come - first serve distribution plan,
    i didnt ask why they didnt)

    Horrifying at the bottom today. I'm sure graphite would have helped, but I had to practice my Cascade shuffle just to stay upright near village level.

    On the upside: brown now color codes the slush/ice bumps up top. One legit chest shot at the 6400' level and Headwall was better than expected near closing.

    So DIN is just a German acronym, but refills is refills.
