the friday night 8 was enough to fill in the trenches for sat.
yesterday was just an appetizer for the sunday buffet:
after the usual go-to runs were chopped,
crossloaded pillow-lines in the trees and alders
made for the finest day ive seen in 2 seasons at 49N;
sidenote: not many people here venture into terra incognita
makes for a full day of untouched runs!"we all do dumb shit when we're fucked up" mike tyson

Did a little sled access touring across from lookout. Pretty flat and mellow but the snow was luscious... Managed to get the little 136 track 550 stuck a time or too

Best weekend in a few years to say the least. At our house in Mullan we received 24+ in from Thursday till Sunday night. Friday was a snowshoe day with the wife around lookout pass, in 4 hrs the truck had 7-8 in of new on it. Silver MTN Sat was damn nice skiing where ever you went, Eureka, Moonshine and trees between will deep and soft. Lookout Pass Sunday was even better, temp had dropped to 10 and since Thursday am there was 50in + of new snow. Waist deep all day on the MT side and sidecountry glades. All day it was like skiing in frozen smoke, just a giggle fest from top to bottom.

I know that guy and he is super nice guy who races cars in summer. Made in south hill. I have been on snowskates he makes and it’s a quality product.
Not sure how it skis because I don’t ski but he also makes snowboards too.
He just had a demo at Schweitzer. The shop up there carry them and I think they might let you demo one?

Interesting side story on TJ Sneva; his uncle is Tom Sneva who won the Indy 500 in 1983 and his dad is Jerry Sneva who also raced at Indy and was Rookie of the Year in 1977. His dad just passed away last month.
As for the skis, I haven't skied them but have heard they're pretty good from some friends who have. He's been building skis since 1994 and so far as I know, has good QC and is very good to work with. You can get custom graphics if you want and, I think, custom specs.
Your link didn't work so here's the correct link: www.snevamfg.com/
ETA: Oh, and by the way...I'm back so I'm not missing this next storm cycle!

I have not skied them. I have fondled them and the build seemed decent. They don't list a TR but man did they have some serious side cut. Just looking at them. The E5 196 is 146/110/126. The tips were also very soft and seemed decently stiff under foot, not as much as I would like.
The 191 looks more up my ally at 147/115/126 but I haven't had a chance to look at them.

He can really do custom core work so if you wanna stiff tip, he can build it to your specifications.

You’re in luck. Sneva demo on Sunday at Schweitzer. He said he got 30 pairs to demo.
