Anybody in the area want to split shipping on an Intuition liner order? No group buy this year but there’s currently a 15% coupon.
Unfortunately shipping a single pair is $30 which quickly eats up that discount. But you can add pairs for pretty cheap shipping.

Chair 1 and 2 — there is no true WROD as there isn’t snow making at JA

The Davenport Hotel and others owned by Walt and Karen Worthy has been sold. This includes the Davenport Tower, the Davenport Lusso, the Davenport Grand and the Centennial. They total 1,700 rooms in downtown Spokane. Why is this in the Inland NW Thread...?
Well, the buyers are KSL Capital Partners out of Denver. Among their other holdings, their flagship company is Alterra... Imagine if will...
What does this hold for the future of Schweitzer? I would guess they're looking at adding Schweitzer to Alterra at some point and tying together Spokane travel stays with the mountain. Not good, if it happens. I have a certain amount of dread as to the future of Schweitzer. I suspect there will be some offers being made and negotiations toward a sale happening over the next several months, after testing the water with the alliance with the Ikon pass this year. Market study time as they look to enter the market here(?)

Sounds like a great time to buy a STR up at Schwiz.

I think you're reaching. Schweitzer's model doesn't scream "looking to sell", hell you can't even buy a weekend ticket early-season anymore. KSL Partners is first and foremost a real estate management corp and you're surprised that they bought some premium properties in a growing market like SPK?

You can ski there on Ikon still.
Schweitzer probably has the most developable real estate in the US for a ski area. 7000+ acres, owned by the mountain in a State and County that is quite friendly to developers. Over the last year quite a few moves have been made towards destination real estate sales machine, including hiring an ex Vail dirt pimp developer to sell more lots at a very high price point.
I don't think Goldmember is too far off sadly.

the growth in all of Spok'alene includes $chwietzer among the amenities,
No forest service deals required, there's always been more real estate offices than bars in the village.embrace the gape

Welp, found enough snow to skitter around on today at lookout.
Their Mt Manager was a bit of a dick and didn’t let us ski the usual shit. In his words “don’t want you guys skiing all the new snow before our customers can tomorrow” 🤮
So we wrapped around the boundary and poached their new shit that was just cut. They haven’t poured footings for lifts yet, but it all connects to Stevens Peak / St Regis and has some really rad potential!!

They've turned the corner hard to real estate with a new hotel and another round of condos about to start. The whole thing about not selling day tickets is just a scam to get people into the new hotel instead of renting any properties not owned by the foggy basin corp. Hotel guests can buy day tickets (and, ironically, no one else wants one).

As The Artist points out, real estate is exactly what Schweitzer is pushing right now. Keith McCaw's heirs have owned it now for about 20 years and are likely ready to sell, if they can work out the right deal. This is actually better for Alterra than Crystal was, from a real estate standpoint. Crystal doesn't have any developable land but that didn't stop them. Hard to know exactly what their strategy is but it does cause me concern.

Schwiz stoke! Got my first turns of the year in this afternoon. Coverage was good on the 1 run that’s open thanks to all the snowmaking. No new dings in the skis! We have a ways to go for the rest of the mountain to open up but if this week dumps like it’s supposed to, we might have the base we need. Felt good to be back on the sticks though and making turns.
