I'm headed to Silver for the first time today for afternoon laps as I pass through. If you see a jong in a green FreeRide Systems jacket, white helmet, moment skis -- let's have a beer.

Great day showing @doebedoe around silver.

Zero to hero real quick, first turns down TE trees at 10:30 were terrible. The 4” overnight got saturated by rain and was glue. Literally survival skiing to chair 3.

From there poked over to chair 2 and found better snow. The full storm hadn’t rolled in so things were still touchy and the lower crust was apparent.

By 11:30 things really improved, more snow fell and sticking to higher/colder areas yielded great results.

Continued to storm for the rest of the day NFG and Northstar were full of high quality cream cheese!!

Skating conditions at the foggy basin have devolved slightly from the buffed out smooth ice of recent days. Braille felt pretty good high, though--if you close your eyes every turn looks just like doebedoe up there^^^

Shoulda gotten a fog pic. Flat light and perfect, untextured grey--the kind of day we always brag about.

    .
soft sweet carving at 49N today ....

Jackass Overlords are aggressively managing parking lately.
Lot crew monkeyboy stopping every vehicle on the approach road
asking if you have a season pass.

"Lot Full" signs deployed in the overflow lot, hippie lot and main lot.
i punched through to the main lot and found multiple, legit parking spaces.

Schwiz lived up to it’s foggy reputation today on the lower 2/3 of the hill, but was beautiful up top. Tried to stay high and in the sun as much as I could. Gonna head back up tomorrow, hoping the fog clears out all the way down. Click image for larger version.

Silver was skiing killer this weekend. Groomers were super fast and carvey. Certain zones were nice soft chalk and others once the sun baked them were nice and creamy. Full Vit D in effect was also nice!
Saturday got to busy for me around 1230 to keep skiing the speed I wanted plus chair two kept stopping for Jerry so I bounced.
Sunday was pretty quiet and my kids finally wanted to go skiing. I was stoked on that as they haven’t been up in a couple years, damn teenagers are all about their friends.
