^^I think "southern" melted into "interior" where Red is concerned. Sorry to be late to mention it. Hope you found the goods!

A little east of that, since we're crossing the 49th. Apologies for the fuzzy cell phone pic, but with the recent dry spell it's the best of a bad bunch. There's a grin in there someplace, though!

I have an extended weekend pass from the wife and I'm considering coming to the Schweitzer / 49 North / Silver area.

Can someone tell me how things are skiing in that area lately? Snow reports look a little dry. I don't care if it's epic or not (as it's not around me either) just want to know it doesn't suck.

Also, is the CAT skiing at Schweitzer any good?

Maybe by Sunday? Depends on what you want: my wife enjoyed the blue bird day today and put first tracks on corduroy at almost 11 at Schweitzer. But, yeah, it needs a refresh. Better to the north and east, though. Maybe Silver has done better?

Honestly, fresh tracks on groomers at 11 in the sun sounds pretty good to me for this trip.

There was a post above that said the north bowls were crusty? That would cut the good terrain in half, no?

I'm in Calgary... fernie, castle, Kimberley all going through pretty long dry spells as well.

Thanks for the offer... I'll send you a PM if I follow through on this destination (as I think I will).

Silver and Schwiz skiing excellent as of yesterday— little dry spell but should be cold and north aspects should offer cold chalk!! As LVS said I’ll be at Schwiz all weekend. Let’s link up.

49N is a family oriented mountain
    lots of kids and beginners
    apres are limited

Tzer or Silver would be more satisfying

BBI stickers with day lift passes spotted at the foggy basin. Couldn’t wipe the freezing rain off the lenses to get a clear view of the brave soles but I hope they are SAFE.

Does anyone have snowpack/depth insights for Sherman Pass? I'm headed up there next weekend and haven't really seen much for info besides the WSDOT webcam/snow stake?
