I just bid up some spark dyno dh for 160 on eBay will see if i will get them and they are nay good. Excited to get a few laps on them by the time they ship and i get the whole setup going before spring skiing season is over. Unfortunately they probably won't ship until early may and I won't have the whole set up ready until mid may

It's gotten more popular, but fifteen minutes drive is nice, had some 2 for 1 to 49N and a free ticket but never made it. Course the dislocated shoulder slowed me down in March.

Silver Sats got burned with Lookout cutting into the pie made it cost prohibitive.

49/silver Combo pass bought... that’s a whole lot of mediocre skiing for $459. Plan on supplementing with day tickets here and there at Schweitzer to remind myself what I’m missing.

No. We’re doing CDA now. If I was living in Sandpoint it’d be no question on a Schweitzer pass.

Good move, CdA is a great town and very centrally located for the ski hills in the area. Get familiar with these guys and you'll open your doors for some great touring in the area, especially over by Lookout. Stevens Peak is a fairly easy access from there and is very good, or at least I'm told (haven't gone, myself).

That 49/Silver pass is a steal and I hope they sell a ton of them! Citizens of Spokane should buy them over Schweitzer no question. So much value with multiple options all within easy striking distance. Just what the market needed to increase sales. Excellent choice LVS!

lol
Let's be honest here. All the skiing in the Inland PNW is mediocre. Including Schweitzer. There is no real lift served alpine terrain. Just a bunch of east coast style cut runs between swampy cedar trees and fir thickets. The little open terrain just leads to nearly uphill flats that requires you to then traverse through crowds of tourist gapers flown in directly from Chicago and Dallas headed for Stella.
If I was smart I would have bought a pass at Red Mountain or Whitewater and just commute up on the weekends. That's where the real skiing is.

All of it?
Ah.
Red is sweet... but how often would you really make the 3-4 hr drive, past a bunch of decent skiing, on wintry mountain roads? With that logic in play, how many times did you make it to Crystal?
Lookout will be pretty good with the expansion.

Hyperbole for Mooseknuckles enjoyment.
I’m sure red is neat but I’m not going to leave pow to ski pow (paraphrasing 2funky) just like I don’t ski crystal or even alpental.
Lookout is going to be fantastic with the expansion. Some really great terrain will be in play. A 1 mile skin to Stevens Peak will be neat. St Regis Basin looks like it has some cool lines too.
Lift served is the caveat. Been ogling the Cabinets and Selkirks. The Selkirks look neat but damn the Cabinets look like a cool range. Hope to get up there this summer and check it out.
