Mountain towns/people that go to great lengths to keep their town looking like a crappy old mining town, yet go batshit over somebody actually wanting to mine!

Wht amuses me now is making up fake names of co-workers with potentially double-entendre names and my two boys who are now 7 and 9 understand the names. For example.
Me- I work with a guy named Richard Sniffer.
Son-His name is Dick Sniffer- followed by hilarious laughter.

The pitter patter of my dogs feet as she sniffs what to pee on next. After she pees or poops she always scratches like a bull rearing to charge a red head. Then she shakes, and if you wait for it, she holds her breath for about 10 seconds, and when she snorts out that breath it's time to move on. Gets me every time.

My kid is an Air Force surgery resident doing a year of lab research at Travis AFB. One issue that comes up with military and civilian trauma is when it is safe to fly after a minimally collapsed lung. In an airplane pressurized to 10K feet the air between the lung and the chest wall can expand, further collapsing the lung, which could be serious. People are often advised not to fly until the air is completely gone, which can obviously be very inconvenient. When military trauma victims are transported by air tubes are placed in the chest preventatively. My son wonders if this is necessary. He proposes introducing air into the chest of pigs, take them up in an AF cargo plane and observing their condition to see if it is safe. So far he has no luck getting clearance to do this. His year in the lab will be up in a few months. He doesn't enjoy research but has enjoyed the lighter work schedule. I asked him if he would consider doing another year in the lab. "When pigs fly". (Apologies to approximately mikey b.)

It's not amusing, really, but almost everybody from 2013 in this thread still posts here.

I'm amused that I spent the day on my mountain bike and then having beer with friends after and the tgr bros are still arguing about guns...with nothing new to say.

Don't you have a facebook page to spray on, because facebook is amusing, you, not so much. Going to throw in a dog pic while you are at it?

+1, but we skied today. We finally got some decent snow this week. BTW, post up as many pics of Murphy as you want, he's a cool dog.

So... I think the upside down pictures is because all the things people post upside down at pio messes up the algorithm.
