MarkerFit swap plates Pre-Order is on! [SPAM]

<Edit> Preorder is over and plate kits are in-stock now </Edit>

Post up here if you're ordering, so we all know how cool you are

    http://www.bindingfreedom.com/Marker...s-NEW-1005.htm

Same mounting pattern as DynaDuke if you want to swap Marker Touring bindings. If you want to use them to swap Marker Alpine bindings, you may need to adjust the heel location.

Fits all versions of Dynafit (both Radical and Traditional versions of ST, FT, and TLT Speed) as well as all versions of the Marker Royal family (Duke, Baron, Duke EPF, F12, F10, Jester, Griffon, Lord, Squire). Also Plum Guide and G3 Onyx. The heel plate has been extended to fully support the climbing bar of the Marker touring bindings.

Photos are of the prototype, the kits will be brilliant orange anodized, just like DynaDukes were.

Very cool! Any plans for color? Or are you keeping it silver?

Nice. I take it the heel plate is long enough to support the Duke/Barons that had the changed climbing bar that resulted in a longer plastic heel plate (pre-EPF, but after the older versions).

thanks for the questions - updated the post to include the answers. Yes, it will support the climbing bar and they will be anodized orange.

^^ that's a solid maybe. just like schizos, it only works for certain BSL because the demo plates are longer than the markerfit plates. If you are just swapping dynafits and demos, it should work pretty good for the same general BSL as the dynafits

Ordered. These had better make me the best damn skier on the mountain.

Or at least match the color of my BD Couloir Harness and Mammut Nirvana Pro pack whilst I travel among Intrawest resorts across North America ...

Do I have it right that it will not work if I want to swap Griffons and Tour F12s?

    Jon,

How do the holes line up with Sollyfit holes? TIA.

I printed out the dynaduke and sollyfit templates and overlaid them. Unless I'm missing something the holes aligned. So if the dynaduke pattern is the same as the markerfits, there should be some transitive property working here.

Same mounting pattern but significantly different mounting locations. I beleive the dynadukes would put sollyfits at ~-2cm and the heal location might not work based on binding track travel. dynadukes must be set at a specified distance between toe and heal plate due to the dukes being a frame binding.

yes, you have the right - unless you happen to be very lucky such that the griffon heels end up exactly in the same spot as the Tour F12s need them. I haven't run the analysis to see what BSL you'd need to be "lucky."

Not terribly well. It'll share two holes in the toe plates, and all 4 in the heels only if you're just as lucky at rainy512day.

Just to confirm what's on the website, there is a 6cm difference between dukes and any other bindings? As in, when the plates are mounted on the line for dukes, the dynafit will be at -6?

    Reading comprehension! 6 mm (1/4") NOT 6 cm (2.5")

from website: Please note that Marker Duke EPF bindings will mount at +6mm with respect to all other bindings.

    Ha!

Not the first time I've had this problem.

    Thanks for clearing that up.
