Checked the photos at MWAC. Despite Sunday's snow, still real low tide up on George. This one is from 12/31. Pixie dust falling now will not make much difference.

I knew there was snow at the MM

-.4` bob with 3 1/2" of snow so far, seems to have picked up a little bit as 1 1/2" has fallen the last 3.5 hrs.
Hoping everyone has a good time on the hill tomorrow.

And I thought it was cold around here.

    From NOAA BTV
" WE SAW A HIGH OF -4F AT BTV...WHICH OCCURRED AT MIDNIGHT. THE
DAYTIME HIGH WAS ONLY -8F...AND TEMPS HAVE FALLEN BACK TO -11F AT
3PM. THE HIGH OF -4F IS THE COLDEST MAX OBSERVED AT BTV SINCE
1/9/2004 (NEARLY 10 YEARS!). SOME LOCATIONS IN NORTHERN NY DIDN`T
GET ABOVE -10F DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS."

nor will it make much difference anywhere else, really. Utah pixie dust is the last thing we want or need. looks good in pics, but bottoming out on coral understory is the suck. sunday/Monday could help

temps look much more friendly by Saturday afternoon.

-2 and puking at the beach right now. way too cold.

cannot wait for Monday when it's 49 degrees warmer

Hmm, friend is trying to sway me towards Killington over Magic... Said they've been skiing closed runs all day and they're ripe.
Goniff reported otherwise. He said woods were definitely not in at K but then he transitioned to magic for a couple of late afternoon laps and said it was better.

I think I'm Sunapee bound tomorrow. I suspect they'll certainly do some grooming but the wind should negate that. I'm going to bring the skins just in case.

Stratton was house slipper deep today, maybe 5” total.
The occasional gondi made it easy to deal with the 6
degree high with consistent 30mph+ winds.
Rode to the closing bell as it just got softer and softer
with the added fun factor of the wind effect, but the
attitoot is much to be desired. The stoke comes from
    Staff mostly.

    I’m in for Magic tomorrow

^^^It's all about the wind. Magic had little to no wind today and it ended up deep. I guess 30 MPH winds are good for the woods at the Big S.

Can anyone tell me the likelihood of Hunter having holds on their lifts due to wind?

Same, friends flip flopped a few times, but we've finally agreed on Sunapee. Same as above holds true, I'll be the goon on a split in a blue stoic shell. Skins are in the car in the off chance wind does something.

The woods were tempting but plenty of pine bow still to be seen. No need to rush in and do a shumacker.

So ECRC, who's at Magic tomorrow?

It's fucking cold today. -8 when I went into work, -11 when I went on my lunch break at 4, and -8 again when I got out at 730. We must've gotten about 1-3" of snow throughout the day in Burlington as well.

I'll probably be there for a few runs first thing in the morning. Red pants and black jacket. Cataract Glades and Summit Glades are both open. They should give a good idea of what the coverage is like elsewhere. We got about 7"-8" of heavier snow on Sunday night, with 5"-6" of light and dry so far today. No wind yet.

Still be cruising ultra low angles for quiet turns here. Fields have been skiing like groomers so this fluff on top should make them perfect. We'll let the snow keep building up on the hill. Skiing boney steeps sucks, no matter what the photos might have you think. The 6" we have here can be swept off the tarmack with a push broom. Letn stuff settle instead of skiing it off will pay off later imo.
