Smuggs was tasty this AM, fresh 4"+ on the trails and plenty of deep untouched in the woods. Took up the rear with TC, Vinman and some friends. Soaked to the bone by the time i got to the bottom.

Somebody call patrol at glacier du banana belt quick like, I think Bottle has become disoriented and may be suffering from oxygen deprivation due to the altitude!

Every kind of snow known in one run, nice untracked powder>chunder>suncooked spring suction glop. Windy as a mofo but no windholds. Oh, forgot to say empty as fuck, ski on every time.

Somebody bring me my vapors, PLEASE!!!!!!

Skiing started off beautifully, got a little wet mid morning and then just got better and better each run as the fog lifted, the temps dropped, the winds picked up a bit and the snow (in kind) dried out some. Tomorrow afternoon should be teh awesome.

Hope to see some pics from Cow Hampsha later this afternoon.

I wonder if we are headed for this...

If so, the bitching by non-skiers is going to reach an all time high

We are pretty much at that point with those folks.

I love to hear those people say wow it's really bad weather out there today.

My response is usually, "now that all depends on what your definition of bad is now doesn't it"

I tend to get the reply of "oh you're one of those, aren't you"

    Yes.....yes I am.

I had the best sleep of my life in that usually super uncomfortable audi 90. Passed out au 8 woke up at 10...

Plan was to skin up to mansfield peak, but sleeping in and with all the fresh snow I bought a ticket at stowe. Oh and especially the fog. Not too keen on solo exploring if it's too foggy. Too bad the road to smuglers is unplowed. I am sure the 90 would have made it

For tomorrow I want to do Mansfield's peak. Legend has it, I can just skin gondolier before opening which seems like a much better idea than going up long trail off the road.

Provided it looks like that next week, there would be a very good chance of that being reality. But I would caution, I don't understand the pretty colors a whole lot better than youz and would seek professional consultation (paging LH to the courtesy phone) prior to waxing up your fat twigs and packing your beacon...wait, I forgot, you need that every day already.

Shit Daught, an Audi 90? I want pics of that thing.

Also, anyone interested in touring in the Catskills tomorrow? Extra points for ride-sharing for the environment and my thirsty car. PM me, I have some really tasty objectives in mind.

6" of heavy, surfy snow at Magic today. Place was practically empty. Met up with maybe-pseudo-lurker mag Brian after one run and we got untracked lines everywhere all day.
