Garmont 7tm. Why have you left us?
I spend most of my days telemarking. I never spent any time reading TT or hanging with other tele boarders because I don't really care and nobody really comes around Chestnut to tele that is worth a damned. It is just something I do to keep it fun in the midwest. But now I'm wondering what I do if my 7tm's break? NTN looks terrible and I have been told they're a debbie downer for guys like me that get real low.
Is there any other choice for releasable binders that work? Will NTN work with my T1's?
School me.

I don't think so, and no. I believe they stopped making Voile CRBs. Maybe adrenelated or some other shop rat will chime in. But your T1s will definitely not work in NTN.
NTN has been good to me. I had to tighten and raise my stance, but those were good things. More pimping available on request.

Thanks Bob - that is what I was afraid of. Took me an entire season to get the T1's to blow out and fit perfect and now I'm one breakage away from boot and binding shopping. $$$$$.

Uglymoney,
I've got your back on this one!
I've got a few pairs of 7tm sitting in the garage. Variety of different models/vintages. PM me if you need spares now or in future and we can figure something out.Last edited by dcpnz; 10-19-2013 at 10:36 AM.

I have some of those Telebry release plates that I don't use (I'm back on AT gear). Will sell for cheap.

Telemark Tech System. But it won't work with your T1's.

Sweet. I'm busy setting our family up for the winter - so let me gather myself here and I might take a pair off of your hands.
Ditto above. I knew you were a former 7tm user that quit for fixed heals but I didn't know you were still holding.
Shaking the trees works sometimes I guess.
I have some plates on some old skis with some of the really old Raineys bolted to them. Decent setup but I like the 7TM much better overall probably mostly because those old bindings didn't give much forward pressure. Not sure if they are the same plates.

Was there ever a piece of tele gear around longer than a couple of years.

Well, if you haven't been convinced to try something else, 7tm bindings and accessories appear to be alive and well-stocked on Telemark-Pyrenees:

I could never get past the legions of dorky ttips fanboys and ttips bullshit to ever care about hammerheads.
T1s, yes, ok, I was wrong with my stupid throwaway joke

Gawd, I hated the 7tM
HH > T1. HHs were both non-sucky and bomber. Too much fiddling with cable guides to switch between tour (#1/#0) and DH (#4-#5 for me) but, wow, they were a game changer on the descent.
Switchback X2s on Vector BCs for this winter, driving them with old T2s (like current T3s), fat fishscale neo-hippy shit.

Interesting reason to care or not care about another binding. I have no trouble getting past the fanboys, dorks and insecure people who feel better when they insult others. It is pretty simple you ski the thing and decide if you like it.
Sorry your sophomoric desire to insult the non cool is just as annoying here as it was at ttips.
James.

au contraire, it was the self-proclaimed coolness and all of the dick sucking that made ttips intolerable/whatitwas. tele's fun for a little bit but a shitty way to ski that went on way past it's sell date thanks to a circlejerk of fluffers.
you can find all of the fun over at Dostie's place. The same assholes flooded there.

Hugh, which do you hate more: Seattleites or telemarkers?
-

why do you have the binary ilikecandy worldview steve?
same people fucked up both. BTW: it's not telemarking - it's most telemarkers. Same with most seattleites. Quick - there's a special on organic civet coffee!

Well, actually, I said "telemarkers." And, yeah, that was my CandyLiar impersonation. Good eye. FTR, I have ample contempt for teleposeurs and Seattleite hipsters (which, to my eye, are indistinguishable from SF hipsters), although both groups are largely harmless so I don't let them get under my skin. You might try that.
Hippy style telemarking -- which 7tM and HH aint -- is a good thing. Viva Voile
