Sold this after getting stuck one too many times with the open diff, but still miss her some days. Got a 100 series Landcruiser and solved the getting stuck problem, but it's not as comfy to sleep in.

Saw that on Jay Leno's Garage. Very subdued for Grubb, I really like it. It's crazy that you can basically build an entire 23 window with brand new, off the shelf parts.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Sooo nice! Especially that top transporter. Class paint, chromed stock rims and low pros is just right

I had a terrific day yesterday. We went up to GTNP and while officially closed, some side roads were open. We hung out and enjoyed the beautiful day.

The bus is back together. After nearly 18 years of having a barn/cool and big tools/concrete floor to use at will, I lost the space. It was a great run. But it came at a not-so-good time. Scrambling to finish before it Winter, I had to move the bus *twice* while it was apart. That was a bummer. Nuts, bolts, wires were everywhere. Nightmare shit.

Partially admitting defeat, I brought it to the local VW/euro guy to put back together. Last fall I mated engine and transmission, but all of the little vacuum connections were everywhere and some not to be found. Rabbit Row on the Village Road did an awesome job. It was a huge burden off me. Besides it’s all tuned up and ready to rumble. Purrs like a kitten.

I’ll be getting tires soon. These Maxxis looked great, but were loud. I think they wore pretty quick. I’m looking at getting more of an all season tire. The mechanic who finished the bus was pretty vocal about “my terrible loud tires”. I think I just got used to the hum (roar) after a while. They looked so cool though.

My goal for the Summer is to replace window trim. It’s needing some attention. Other than that we’re waiting for the all clear sign to hit the road.

If i also had a stock split window, thatd be cool to have. Id feel bad if i cut up a splitty to make that unless i had a traditional splitty as well. Load it up and use it. Could def make that work. Id want a disc brake conversion though
