I still have the jump seat if anybody needs one. I might even deliver. As hard as it was to find one, I can't believe someone doesn't want it.

I saw this gem in Moose. 1978. Pancake engine. Dual Webers. It was pretty tricked out. A real dream ride.

The LED flood lights were a nice touch.

I do miss the simplicity of air cooled engines. I had a 1972 passenger bus with a 2.0L pancake & dual Webers. It was very fast. I could never get the Webers properly synced. It backfired consistantly when you revved the engine and shut it off immediately. So much fun! It was the early days of the internet and never found good enough info to fix it.

They are hard to get hold of and we searched for years before one was found. The gang is now older and we don't need it. Some guy gave it to me and I'm looking to pass it on.

Bad ass panel. Black and chrome looks amazing. Don’t see many deluxe versions that are panels. Maybe they swapped the bumper

Recs on SLC shop to instal a new engine???

I’m hard shopping VW shops right now. I’m going to stick with the he stock 1.9L. Sure under powered, but doggedly reliable. Very few of the people I’ve met with Subaru conversions said they’d do it again.

I like to attend BBI Utah 19 in March and leave it down there to be fixed.

While I consider myself in the 95th percentile of shade tree mechanics, I don’t want to mess with putting in an engine myself.

Might be worth getting a quote from Rabbit Row?
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Have you considered the Bostig conversion?
