Those things f'n fly! Just got word Team New Zealand has already sailed their boat home...
Pretty sure there will some drinking and debauchery on the docks tonight. Wish I was there. So glad it will stay in SF for another series. That is about as perfect a venue for this as you could imagine.

And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Hopefully it will stay in SF, it might not.
We went down to watch some of the LV Cup. We actually bought our flights from Vancouver the morning Artemis blew up, for a while it looked like we were going on a wine country tour.
I had promised the Mrs that *when* NZ won we would go down there to watch the next event.
As a non-partisan I just wanted to watch great sailing. When my boy Ben Ainslie stepped on board though I guess I became a little biased towards USA17.
The better (and faster) boat won and I for one am super stoked for them. However I would have liked to have seen the evolution of the Cup had NZ taken it.
Coutts was apparently quoted as saying they want to do something about the cost and have as many as 12 challengers next time around. With the frenzy this cup has caused I like to think that sponsors might be more attracted to such an incredible spectacle.
Bring on AC35. Thanks god we have a VOR to watch in the mean time.

After having lived in NZ and hearing the ex GF's friends and family babble endlessly about the superiority of all things NZ sailing I most enjoyed the outcome of the Cup.

3rd... Great article.
Amazing how the technology is pushed by these events... Both boats and the video. Still can't believe the comeback, but now I'm wondering if Honey's software manipulated the boats and water... taking control of space and time?Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!
