That's funny, because 1600 gram dual ply DH tires corner like a boss.
I think you are confusing cornering with accelerating out of corners.Last edited by rideit; 09-13-2013 at 08:18 AM.

i think stuck needs to sack up and just RIDE.
or at least keep his over-analysis of minutiae to one thread. We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

Just go out and ride your bike. Ride what ya got and enjoy it because it's what you've got. Ride the shit out of it every time you ride it. F'n wheel size bullshit...

So, I can't pump or jump. I love road biking. Everyone knows Faster is more fun. I should just get some big wheels and roll over everything.

Yeah.. that video sold me on 29 more than 650b, for a hardtail anyway. I love my 29er but would probably go with smaller wheels on a long travel bike.
Last weekend we were going down all sorts of rocky technical stuff (compared to what we're used to anyway), and the three of us on hardtail 29ers were way ahead of the two guys on FS 26" bikes. Really impressed at how it just rolls over everything.

Interesting that so many people go from that experience to thinking that they would still want little wheels on an FS bike. I don't get it.However many are in a shit ton.

Wow. That norco vid is a great discussion of the issues to consider. No single right answer for every riding style but it certainly correlates with my experience.
