It was catching edges both ways. A ski would shoot off the to the outside, or would suddenly dart across the other ski. I dont think it was an issue with technique as i used to ski ARGs, and i played around with fore-aft pressuring on the Protests. But maybe im just hitting the learning curve. Honestly, im glad im seeing this issue now instead of on my upcoming cat trip and can dial them in for years of fun ahead.
I had a little bit of this on Saturday, but had forgotten my gummy stone. Only happened on the groomers. Didn't have too much time in fresh but the little I did they were definitely awesome at all speeds!

TLDR; Ski faster. Quit breathing. Don't crash.

Praxis Protest..just how cool is it?

Welp... closed out the 19/20 lift-serve season with two straight days of protests. Purchased these 192 Enduro Flex 4's from CascadeLuke last fall and never had a deep enough day this season to get out on them until 24" fell last Fri-Sat. They totally lived up to the hype. Tons of float and welcome maneuverability in the tight trees at my hill. Manageable on the groomers and steeps where the new snow got scoured off to re-freeze. Light enough to shoulder on the boot pack. I'm seriously considering a Tecton mount. Looking forward to the next big storm.

Sad I couldn’t get my 192s to work for me. Just not enough pow days to risk riding a ski I wasn’t clicking with

Another day of skinning my 187s...another best day of the season. Damn I love these things.

Might need some 192s (196s?) for resort duty too...

Gotta say the pair cascade Luke’s sold me in 192 MAP 3 are awesome. Hope he found the length and flex to replace these two pairs. Best pow ski ever may be the statement

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I enjoy my 177 protests with dynafit verticals for touring/hike-to, but backcountry skiing.
Never use them in the resort.
boots (used dynafit titans and mercuries).
Only things going forward is I want to install a toe shim (6 mm).
    I'll get one from B and D.
Had good success with shim install 6 mm on 175 GPO with dynafit verticals.

Tried them in funky snow (187 length) with marker demo bindings and varied mount point +2, 0 and -2 cm, I think, and they didn't click for me.
Alpine boots used on that day (two days).
    Aggressive in my own mind

Such a longshot but does anyone have skins for 187s that they want to get rid of?

Im sure the direct crossover is unlikely, but can anyone provide a possible compare-contract between the protest (4/5) and the moment chipotle banana. Obviously protest is even more of a fun-shape, while CB looks like a flatter wider, stiffer bibby / wildcat.

Looking at 192 protest or a 193 CB for the top of my quiver. This thread is obviously leaning me to a protest. Wasn't realllly planning to tour them simply due to weight but wont rule it out.

Yes very happy to have recovered it. The ski itself was a very budget friendly Canadian craigslist find but with inserts and the vipec the loss was felt around the quiver.

Just picked these up locally for a steal of a deal. 1 mount, pivots, shouldn't even have to remount.

Looking forward to giving these a go and seeing how I like them!
