So you haven’t detuned either to see how it effects the way the ski performs but going to disagree? Lol. Got it. Personally they ski way better detuned. That’s skiing them fresh out the wrapper and detuning them to loose, drifty, effortless perfection. So guess we will agree to disagree.
Hah!

Just a slight edge underfoot on protests would be ok. My 195 pow boards are dull beyond belief, which suits them. Don’t think they’ve ever seen a stone. Just ski over a bunch of rocks and the tune is perfect.

Detune by riding has always been my method. Edges suck in powder and groomers do the work for me

Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Praxis' tunes have improved over the years, but I've still never seen a pair of Praxis that can be skied straight out of the wrapper without paying some attention to the edges, and I've owned 5 pairs over the years, with number 6 on order right now.
Skiing groomers or hard snow doesn't do shit to detune the rockered/tapered sections of the skis, and it's those areas that can hook up and cause funky behavior in 3d snow. But if you like your boards dull underfoot with sharp tips and tails, you do you.

Take a metal file and remove any bit of sharpness on the edges from the tip to about 6in past the rocker section, then soften under your foot. The edges should be as sharp as a basketball when you are done. That’s how I like any ski >100mm wide. Hell even my MX98s, Brahmas, and Rustler 9s are tapered in the tips and tails.

Strange I have never detuned skis. I just let the snow and features do the work for me.

Whoa settle down chief. I never said anything about needing a sharp edge. I was simply laughing at some of the responses.
And all of my skis are sharp. Like real sharp. I usually run a tri-one edge on everything. Groomer skis to pow skis.
