Shhh... the Sheriff has spoken. This is the non-superstition/joking thread. Also, the "no ragging on Vail because people rag on Vail so often" thread. Step out of line and you'll be verbally flogged. Additional reasons to start the new thread.

If someone could make a jacket of those three things it would no doubt be the most popular and prized item in all of your closets.

Ah August. The month we discuss the proper timing of a new thread. I thought there was a consensus to wait until the first snow fall.

An you will not ski KW in October again. If it does snow, Vail won't open early like the old KW. They will just say for weeks and months that they just don't have enough. Kind of like when I was skiing face shots on Veterans Day of 2012, and try waited for rain and Thanksgiving to open. And now they don't want you hiking for turns anymore either. So yeah, October is a closed month.

And Vail has moved Tahoe snow to their other less snowy resorts in CO. Did ya notice that this past winter?

    Anti-jinx

Cyclepaths (bike shop inside Truckee Sports Exchange) are in newly remodeled digs and plan on staying open all winter. Guaranteed trails will stay snowbound until July.

    Crazy sunset on Friday night...

Did the Heavenly run from California Lodge to Tamarack...

It was hot, uphill, hot, and tiring yet doable...in a hot fashion

    Post run tubing...

    Sunset on the West Shore...

    Bring on Winter...

While going back to that season would suck, at least we would have the last two to look forward to, until this year.

Should we start thread digging all the old Tahoe threads just to mess with people?
TLDR; Ski faster. Quit breathing. Don't crash.
