That extra stop for the Lonestar iced tea is a PIA, though.

    Shut you whore mouth!
Nothing better than fish tacos at lonestar
On their front porch after a day of spring skiing
    With Chacos on.
And a light breeze blowing through my hair....

This has never been my experience at lone star... too focused on the shrimp burrito and corona in front of me.

    It’s all about perspective.

Took Mrs HTFB to the Sauce Boss Friday night.
Nice place, clean, bright, short wait for a table, smelled so good inside I was full Pavlovian response
Pork craklins with soul sauce instead of traditional bread. Interesting.
Got cheese fries appetizer, with the bacon and soul sauce theirs was a cut above.
I had chicken fried chicken, candied yams and spiced corn and a big hunk of cornbread.
The Mrs had The Big Cheddar and collard green.
Delivered to our table by the sauce boss himself.
It was good as hell. So good. Typing this before brekky I am drooling......
Every other plate that came out looked fantastic.
I should've got the fried chicken but to regrats they are only a couple blocks from me casa.
Neither of us could finish half of our food.
Took the leftovers home and our kids scarfed them before they hit the counter.
    Fucking savages.

    GoTo the Sauce Boss.
Get the Red Drank it's awesome!
Team HTFB (Formerly Team Fugi) gives them 8 Thumbs and 18 paws up!
sorry no pics I was really fucken hungry

Really? I have never set foot on that patio without feeling like I had somehow been transported to the Bird's tram deck.
But really I'm not as taken with the food as most people seem to be and it's not on my way home from the canyon so...

saigon sandwich huh. That's going on my list.... That looks fuckin gooooooood.

edit: 8500 S and 1300 E. Probably not happening. Unless on the way home from skiing.

The one in Holladay is better located for post-shredding food, straight shot from BCC. LOVE their food.

i'm throwing in a plug for the new Slackwater in Sandy (yea I know, not slc but...) mainly cause I want it to stay in business (previous 4+ restaurants have failed at current location). not many places down south w decent food (artisanal pizzas, sammy's, salads) huge craft beer selection and kid friendly (plus live music thurs-sat). just north of 10600 s and state.

Glad you mentioned it. Used to go to the Ogden one when my cousin lived up there. Could always use more places with good beer down this way, even if it is halfway to Vegas.

Adding this to the list of places to visit ASAP. I've been to the Ogden one and loved it.
Recently discovered Ice Haus in Murray. It's a Lucky13 without the mustachioed crowds. Huge beer selection, german-inspired everything, large vegan menu if you roll that way, huge patio, live music, only a quarter of the way to Vegas.

I jest. I have been to oh Mai, both State Street locations multiple times. They are pretty good. Pho bien hoa in West valley on 4100s and redwood is my go-to. My office is out that way, which is why I eat all the tacos out there. Also, the Tay do super market on redwood has killer bahn mis in the back corner.

    sent from Utah.

Do any of the Vietnamese places in SLC serve Bun Cha? The smoky, grilled pork belly kind, not the pork meatball kind.
