Can verify, I got food poisoning there in high school. I’ve had food poisoning many times but whatever that was, I will never forget it.

Also- tgapp that beef looks a little thick in the picture, not so sure that would fly in South Philly but looks damn good for Ogden.

That is the oddest Philly cheese stake I've ever seen. You would think they knew whiz in UT.

I like Tsunami. They also have a decent selection of non-sushi menu items so could be a good option for you.

Tsunami, Kyoto in sugarhouse has a full menu of non-sushi as well, same with Kobe in Canyon Rim-great ramen, fine sushi.

Forgot Nohm. that's the sleeper spot for raw cuts, no rolls, and amazing other dishes.

Been a while, haven’t ventured around as much during Covid, but in addition to Takashi, Kyoto (is Peggy still there?), Kobe and Mint, we’ve enjoyed Sapa as well.

+1 on Kobe. Price/service/lack of crowds for the win.

Nohm and Mint are also good options.

Avoid Takashi unless you are comfortable waiting for 1-2 hours for what is objectively the best sushi in town.

Damn good! But the heat level is the real deal. No matter how tough you are I would recommend a step or 2 down from your norm.

Yeah, a 2 is hot AF.

Saigon Sandwich sold to the owners of You & I Kitchen last weekend. Per the old owner they bought all the recipes but he's not sure exactly what their plans are. The weekly specials are unlikely to continue, unfortunately.

That's an absolute shame. Damn. You are the one who turned us onto that place, and it truly is remarkable.

It's a real bummer to think that I'll probably never have Mi Quang again unless I actually go to Da Nang.
