I need sunglasses
I've got a few pair of sunglasses, all of them are pretty shitty to mediocre quality. I want something decent that cost less than $100. What would the maggots suggest other than "post nekid pics of my wife in glasses" and "tech talk bitch"?

I've got a few pair of sunglasses including some spendy pairs and recently picked these up:

I got one of the $80 model and it seems to be the only pair I wear anymore.

Last 3 pairs I have had were 2 Electrics and 1 Smith. All with polarized lenses, all from whiskey militia or steep and cheap and all well under $100. I personally think the Electric build quality is better, but I was happy enough with the Smiths. The ones on my desk right now are these but polarized.

It's really hard to beat Smith's lifetime warranty and customer service. They are all I wear anymore.

Suncloud. I bought a pair a couple years ago in Crested Butte and they are still going strong. Great glass. Polarized. Tough as nails frame. A bargain. I think they were fifty dollars.
Or Smith...

I have no input - haven't worn anything but Maui Jims since I finally had the coin to drop on them about 15 years ago. Well N of $100, but I baby my sunglasses so have only bought maybe 3 pairs in that stretch of time, the last one only because I needed prescription lenses, so used my current frames.
YMMV

Arnette. I've had several pair and think they're lenses(polarized) are little better than Smith. But, I still love my Smith optics.

I'm on my 3rd pair of Natives. Lifetime warranty, great service. After I broke my last pair, I couldn't live without them for the 7 day turnaround, so I bought a second set.

+1 on Arnette. On about my 5th pair. I love my latest pair- the la pistola polarized. Great sun glasses.
But if I had the money:

The money Oakley spends on lens research pretty much has sold me for sports sun glasses and even driving/fashion glasses.
You are gambling with your eye health with any other cheaper brand. The lens grinding process is and can be highly flawed.Terje was right.

These are pretty much the same thing, functionally, but American Optical is cheaper. i have both and don't really see a difference. I've had the Randolph Engineering pair for probably 6 years now and the American Optical pairs for 4-5. Both have held up very well.
I prefer the glass lenses to the polycarbonate, but they are heavier. Unless you have a pretty very large face or want to make a bold statement, I'd go for the medium or small frame size.

I vote smith too. Have been looking at some new ones since I lost my last pair. Its kind of hard to buy on line because you have no idea how they fit. In my opinion polarized are a must.
Took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to change this shit

TeeGeeArrShades?
I also have to suggest SMITH - They have been very good to me over the years. Currently using their minimal "pivlock" bike glasses.
***BUT***
Why not get some TGR Sunglasses and "Represent"?
They have 'em in the Store...only $15...I got a pair with the bamboo arms (finished now).
They are fine, although they do tend to fall off your head/hat if you park them up there.
