2013 British Open
L Vonn hanging with woody. How tall is she? If Woods is 6' she must be 6'2".
Hopefully they'll get some wind and weather to make thinks interesting.

that's the Open Championship, rookie...
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Phil leaving the driver at home this week apparently. No need for it.
My picks are Graeme McDowell or Phil Mickeltits. Both are playing very good golf.I still call it The Jake.

Good weather and light winds so don't expect a fluke winner.

I picked up Tiger, Rory, Chrlschwrtzl, Snedeker, Mahan, and Dufner as my wild card. I usually go with almost all non-Americans for this tourney, but I'm down $100 already this year. Gotta shake things up a bit. Weather looks pristine. I'm feeling good about my picks. Els and Westwood went in the first round. Crazy.
"One season per year, the gods open the skies, and releases a white, fluffy, pillow on top of the most forbidding mountain landscapes, allowing people to travel over them with ease and relative abandonment of concern for safety. It's incredible."

Look for Tiger to deliver. He just signed a new Nike deal:

Behold the greatness. And I really mean that.
Tom Watson just teed off and put in in the shit. There goes my wild card.
Edit to add: he's still one of the classiest men to ever play the game.
Boom-Boom, Watson, and Sir Nick in one group? Fantastic.
Double Edit: I really don't think what Sir Nick Faldo said via his interview to Rory was really all that bad. Just one generation giving advice to the next. I thought Rory's response was decent but a tinge butthurt. He's a great kid and has to answer to no one. Keep on keepin on. #TMZSPNLast edited by BmillsSkier; 07-18-2013 at 03:18 AM.

It's streaming holes 1&18 and 7,8,9 on www.theopen.com . Depending on your internet/cable service provider you can watch it on espn.com (espn3).
Not even close to as good of coverage as the US open or Masters IMO.

Is that David Duval doing TV coverage? Pulling double duty this week? (or at least for one more day after putting up that 5 today)

Jordan Spieth, bring it, dude! 19 y.o. and first year on the tour. Wins last week and is sitting at -2, tied with Tiger. This kid's hot right now.
edit: shit, I didn't even have his name right. Doh!Last edited by GoldMember; 07-19-2013 at 10:47 PM.

Saw this tweet from Keegan on the ESPN, pretty funny and a great mental picture:
Keegan Bradley @Keegan_Bradley 2h
On range after my round Miguel a Jimenez walked past me with aviator sunglasses, cigar and bottle of wine. Maybe he is the coolest man alive

Highlights of the day were ESPN's inept mic monitors (Tiger) and Charl Schwartzel busting his 6-iron. Also this:
