Usually a gem or two. I remember getting a mammut rain jacket for $30

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Multiple stores in PDX metro and it's usually filled with low quality shit in weird sizes.

I bought some Hotronics for $110 at one of the stores. It's TJ Maxx (same parent company) so the inventory is very hit and miss.

The big benefit of a local store is that you can return ski boots ordered from the website, so no worries about return shipping costs for deals that end up not fitting.

Problem is that STP has been marking some stuff - like ski boots and skis - as not returnable in store. Which sucks.

I haven't yet tried ordered boots in store. Maybe that would allow for returns back to the store.

Our local Sierra was a dusty ghost town when I stopped in to pick up an online order (free shipping to store) the other night. What was there was clearly brought over from TH Maxx as it was not outdoor wear but mostly sweatpants and flannel shirts.

I remember seeing that previously -- either at STP or perhaps somewhere else -- but I'm not seeing that disclaimer on the website snow?

I saw it just recently on the individual item pages - stated in amongst the description of the skis or boots.

Hmmm, could sworn that wasn't there previously.
And one race model still doesn't have it.
Oh well, can't blame then for doing so, and thanks for the heads-up.

    Mid-high Technica hiking boots for $75 ??

    https://www.sierra.com/tecnica-plasm...women~p~75nav/

Appears mislabeled as women's. Maybe they are, but they look just like the men's version and with staffing in retail the cluster it is I'm thinking it's a mistake.

How does one know if those sizes are women’s sizes or men’s sizes?

You could always call and ask for a mfg sku. Or just order them and return if they turn out to be ladies.

Director of Product: So we're hearing that what people really want is way overpriced puffy jackets the color of my dog's diarrhea, but after it's frozen and then buffed.

Designer: I think I can do that.
