Might as well start a general Footy/Soccer thread

    Yeah

Howard Dempsey Bradley are all better than most, but I'm still dubious.

I'll be more surprised if Bradley and/or Dempsey win the game brilliantly than if Howard rescues the game brilliantly.

    Forgot the quotes. "A" team.

Almost a huge give a way in the 5th or 6th minute . Howard with a huge save.

we suck and will continue to suck and are grateful to be in concacaf. first touch still sucks almost as bad as it did 25 years ago. still apparently with little game sense. good goalkeepers are our claim to fame.

I couldn't agree more, selfish player who passes as a last resort, not at all a team player. Tico's will destroy this team if they repeat this performance.

Look like shite. If this were a top class opponent the US would have lost this 4-2

Tons of sloppy mistakes that could have been punished were it anyone but El Salvador

Over and over stupid touches leading to lost possession. Nagbe dribbles great but he can't release it at the opportune moment. Bradley makes one great pass and the next gives it away.

Simple stuff like decision making on defense. If you don't have an open pass hit it out or long, not straight into the middle. Omar Gonzales lets it bounce in the 6yd box. Simple soccer at this level if you're any good.

A few good international champions cup games tonight. Barca up 2-0. Neymar with two goals. Last one in the 26th was a massive dangle around 3-4 guys. A beauty. On to PJS for him shortly.

US vs Costa Rica tonight. US should get the W tonight.

nice shot but poorly played by the keeper and the wall should have been further to keeper's right considering where he positioned himself if you look at the replay from directly behind the ball.

US vs Jamaica tonight. US should prevail if they come to play and overlook Jamaica.

International Champions Cup games have been entertaining. A good warm up for the EPL season.

I agree. Blake would have saved that. It wasn't a great FK, just a very good one. A goal's a goal though.

I was impressed by Nagbe, but he could have penetrated more instead of all the changes of direction.

Morris screwed up on Jamaicas goal but he made up for it. I like him as a forward. He also made some good tackles.

    A good win.

Good US vs Brazil women's game. Rapinoe ties it 3-3 in the 85th.

US goes up 4-3 in the 89th. Ertz. Heck of a comeback from down 3-1 late in the second half.

Went to Manchester City vs. Tottenham on Saturday. Boooooring. MC just controlled the whole game.
