Footy in Spainish, just like the old days!!

Picked up CBS service in Summer for the sick march madness style tourney that was CL and Europa. On lock down, not working, hell yeah

Kept it when United qualified again.

What really sucks about it not being on espn/fox sports is as people start getting out again; traveling fall, 22, whenever is it wont be available on random airport bar or average sports bar tv.

True soccer pubs that feature it will get the service, but so many good memories of watching CL soccer on random weekdays with strangers while traveling for work.

Shit, irul likely wont be able to watch it at his favorite bar, even if bartender still there, if they reopen, and yeah...

PSG full on homme handled Barca without Neymar. I hate that fucking guy but he’s pretty good at soccer as well.

But we’ve seen it before-in this CL pairing even. It ain’t over til it’s over.

Yeah, whatever happened to that referee who fixed that 2nd match?

Mbappe looking like one of worlds best about now.

i think its over this time. barca are a rudderless ship that can't defend. mbappe is very good but i'll take erling haaland everytime. your chelsea is on the bounce since tuchel has taken over > was a big win yesterday. atalanta vs. real is interesting, city vs. gladbach, not so much but that's what i've got on univision today.

Barca are in a death dive with Messi. No one wants to come and play with a system built around Messi when they could play for an actual team. PSG looks unbeatable on their best day.

Chelsea got lucky but they did outplay AM. I was more surprised by how poorly they played than pleasantly surprised at how well Chelsea played. Next month will be very telling for tuchel and Chelsea.

Chelsea held possession 63% to 37%
Chelsea had 11 shots, 5 on target, 2 off target, 4 blocked vs
    Athletics Madrid’s 6 shots, 0 on target, 3 off target, 3 blocked.
Passes were 680 Chelsea to 398 AM.
Chelsea had 20 crosses to 9 AM crosses.

They dominated the match and came away with an away goal along with the win, how do you figure they got lucky?

Might as well start a general Footy/Soccer thread

AM has an amazing CL history under simeone. His template is to absorb on d and find a way in the break or on set plays to score. I think they miss de griezmann for that. Felix is still young and doesn’t have the same decisiveness.

Everyone’s offensive stats look amazing against AM - except one - winning. Passes made for Jorginho are 2/3rds of all Chelsea passes. Back and forth between 6’.

Chelsea played really well so I’m very pleased. Especially when it looked like simeone set up for a very strong offense and they didn’t do much at all. Suarez will always be Suarez but neither he nor felix did much at all.

The turnaround will be interesting since AM need 2 and no goals against. We’ll see if he goes full offense and what tuchel does. The reason they won was probably their formation and the fact everyone played really together. No Mount no Jorginho so that may force him to play more defensive or let Havertz play.

A few days ago all of the editorials were about how Harry Kane had to leave Spurs to get some silver (probably not wrong). Three games later and the team is clicking on all cylinders and pushing for a spot in the CL.

Also, would Bale just cut his hair off already. The lengths he goes to cover up his bald spot is ridiculous.
Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.

    .
Lets not get carried away, Spurs are only above WestHam on GD and they have a game in hand.

In more important news: "Ole's at the Wheel!" What a performance on every level in the Derby. City will still likely win the title, but Ole consistently has Pep's number & I love it.

But lets all laugh at Liverpool!

ManU going out on away goals as it stands at the half

I’d love to see Zlatan come off the bench and embarrass them

I wonder what kind of ban he’ll get for that?

Did you see the keeper after? Wicked gash on his forehead and stretched off.

Straight red but this was a Europa League game so not sure how bans work in that competition.

AAANNND I can finally buy a new United top!!!

Manchester United have announced a five-year €275m (£235m) shirt sponsorship deal with TeamViewer, which starts from next season.

The club believe the contract is the most lucrative struck during the pandemic by any sports team and a sign of their commercial resilience.

TeamViewer, a software company, will replace Chevrolet on the front of United’s shirts but the club intend to introduce a separate automobile sponsor, which will bring a new line of finance.

Discussions are under way regarding a fresh deal for United’s training kit and Carrington base, with AON the current sponsor."
