Haalands first open play goal was classic Haalands. Great movement, speed in the open field, and opening his body up for a great finish. With people like Debruyne playing balls into space it's scary to think of what he might do.

Well Atletico seemed to handle Getafe pretty easily today.
I will say that for all my complaining about ESPN in general, I love that they have La Liga rights now and broadcast everything via ESPN+. And they have each game in English and Spanish (though sometimes the sound mixing on the Spanish commentary is weird). I've been watching La Liga from the US for something like 17 years now and this is by far the easiest it's been to do so. I watched two full games and two halves of other teams I'm interested in this weekend. I'd always have watched Madrid even if I had to use a crappy stream, but being able to just pull it up on my phone and cast it to the projector in about 30 seconds makes me much more likely to tune into the second tier of teams I care about or just a random game.

Might as well start a general Footy/Soccer thread
Late to post that United is
Jesus is quite an addition for Arsenal. They’re looking strong so far.

Damn, Arsenal looks like a completely different team with Jesus up front. Goal at 5 min, and it was just Jesus doing ridiculous things.
How did Man City let this guy go?
Edit: and now 2-0 at 11’. Jesus again involved but Ben White with the pass that opened it up from his new right wing position.

Man, Newcastle had City on the ropes 3-1. Haaland and City then exploded and it was suddenly 3-3. Great game though.

Arsenal alone at the top of the table. You might want to stock up on canned goods.

hahahahahahaha
the battle of mid table mediocrity won by United.
we have issues galore but love the new manager and think we will finish in the top 8.
Since you support about 6 different teams and seem to have no loyalty, I would jump on the Leeds bandwagon. Great team, great manager

Woodsy praising a SF team?
interesting that Liverpool is one of the oldest teams in the PL, Arsenal youngest, Leeds third youngest.
Still think the World Cup is gonna fuck things up
