Looking forward to the PSG Chelsea tie. The drama between the very talented egotistical preening douchebag on the pitch (Zlatan) vs the one on the sideline (Jose) will likely be entertaining.
    In with the 9.

Bit of back and forth between Chelsea and PSG today. Lavezzi and Lucas Moura looked particularly impressive. Comedy defending from Chelsea on that last goal

So, who else is going to the world cup? If you're going, have you locked down accommodation? It's bloody expensive in Rio - myself and 3 others are still looking for a reasonably priced place - anyone have beds/rooms they are looking to fill or want to look at sharing accommodation?

The Rio favelas have plenty of space. Real cheap too.

Couple of edge of the seat thrillers yesterday. Dortmund had it all going for them, but fate (and the post) said no. I'll be biting my nails during today's Barca game, it's gonna be a tough one.

^^^ yeah, I was scared of that draw from the day it announced. Simeone is a hell of a coach and has those guys playing the way he used to - tenacious, tough, and fully committed. It's amazing the way Atleti have had to cycle through players cause of money but still get better every year. Think the only ones left who can put up a fight v Bayern.

    Courtois, what a beast...

Now for the draws. What would everyones preferred matchups be? El Derbi? RM-Chelsea? Athletico-Bayern?

I'd love to see a RM-Chelsea round... But who could pass up a good Derbi?

    or maybe not?
"It follows that any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as Uefa is concerned.

"Furthermore, any attempt to enforce such a provision would be a clear violation of both the Uefa Champions League and the Uefa disciplinary regulations and would therefore be sanctioned accordingly."
probably lawyers who already know how to spell judgement working on this.

    Thought this was interesting:

"So Chelsea's clever clause was null and void according to UEFA and if they tried to enforce it, European football's governing body would punish them. This contradicts UEFA's ruling on a similar matter involving Celtic, Elfsborg and Mo Bangura just last summer ("Any agreement between the two clubs that this player wouldn’t play against Celtic should Elfsborg be drawn against them is purely between the clubs") and what journalist Sid Lowe tweeted shortly after UEFA's statement was released.

Curiously, UEFA yesterday briefed that rules do not say anything about loans and that therefore any agreement Chelsea-Atletico would stand"
"...if you're not doing a double flip cork something, skiing spines in Haines, or doing double flip cork somethings off spines in Haines, you're pretty much just gaping."
