And you thought the Jesuits had no lasting effects.

I should feel guilty about ogling the 20 yr old cart girls. But I don't have daughters, so I'm good with it.

Well since it's gonna be solar I'm stoked to have all the sheiks out there in the desert with squeegees cleaning the panels like 80's NYC homeless fucks. That will be good.

Surprised no one's mentioned wake and bake when savagely hungover.

See e.g., the influence of the Jesuits. "You can take the boy out of church, but you cannot take the church out of the boy." Catlick learning go veddy veddy deep bahs.

    nice bump.

For about 6-7 weeks there I felt a little guilty about getting pleasure from lying around the house doing exactly jack shit.

Then I ran out of vicodin.

No need for guilt there, you're doing good work on a few fronts.

I kinda skimmed the old part of the thread earlier today - didn't you say pretty much the same thing like 5 years go?

    Chicken fried steak for breakfast
Smokey's has it, sometimes Donner Lake Kitchen has it.
While we're at it, Smokey's has some damn fine onion rings.

Cheesecake. Used to be my favorite. My mom made it for me on my birthday--one of the 3 things she could cook. Somewhere along the way I decided it wasn't healthy and stopped eating it. Irrational, since I eat tons of bacon, steak, creme brulee, ice cream. I decided to make a cheesecake with a graham cracker and walnut crust the other night for friends for the first time in about 20 years. The thing weighed about 10 pounds and it was good. Really easy to make, forgiving recipe too. Might have to make it again soon. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop eating creme brulee and ice cream. I love dessert.

Anyone have a good recipe for coconut cream pie. Most ones I see at diners are gummy. The gold standard for me was one I had on Kauai many years ago--the filling was creamy and smooth, not gooey. Had one almost as good at a short-lived bakery in Sacramento. I would love to make one if I could find a creamy recipe.

    Guilty Pleasures...

When the weather sucks, I’m on the DL, and business is slow, I binge watch programs. Last week I watched 5 seasons of Game of thrones. I had never seen an episode before. I did the same thing with dexter last winter.

I still answered the phone though.

Hand rolled cigarettes. Danish Export, to be specific.

    I wouldn't/couldn't be a daily smoker.

But, after a few beers, rolling one up...maybe with some green mixed in for health...delicious.
