The Tahoe-Pyramid BIKEWAY
http://www.tpbikeway.org/downloads/m..._13May2013.pdf
I have been riding parts of this by walking around stuff and Trespassing.
However on June 1 this section of roads along the Truckee River heading South- South West from Verdi was opened to the public.
so A quick TR on the ride from my front door.
There are obvious and not so obvious ways into the Trail.
But how many keep out No Trespassing signs do you have to ride by?
Flume's Right above power station near the beginning of the Trail
the Start of the newly opened Trail. the money to improve that Bridge was donated by a rich guy in Truckee
There are places where the road goes two directions But there will be a No Trespassing on one and one of these for the road
The road has alot of UP and Down. But never more than you can handle. The Flume Leaks above the trail so there is water year round in many places, Lots of shallow puddles to cross.
The Road generally looks like this
9PM Friday night on the way out. I rode about 4?miles into the trail but started pretty late so it got kinda dark on the way back.
It would be a pretty cool ride with a Head Lamp.
anyway, its a legit trail for some easy MTB. You can putter in granny gears and take in the sights, Or go for head down ass up training.
A good place to take the lady for an easy 10 mile ride bring in Beach stuff and hang on the Truckee river, Its an area that until recently no one really had access too.Last edited by MTT; 06-29-2013 at 08:26 PM.
