a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I was thinking boot toe lined up with midsole mark on ski, yeah... can't remember if this gen still had "boot tip" marks on the sidewall.
Sorry, that is what I thought you meant. Not center - midsole point interpreted as the toe line. That is so visually off I can’t imagine handing that off to a customer??!!

I had to laugh thinking it was a volkl toe mark that was done wrong. But putting a boot at midsole on a toe mark would put the boot more forward methinks.

This is just a shitty picture on CL. I've seen quite few of these rear mounts and the fuzzier the photo, the worse the skew.

Are you sure someone didn’t just chop off the tails of those skis? I mean it looks like the mount is pretty close to the narrowest section of the ski, and if you moved the mount forward the ski would be getting wider.

We have a famous character in the Western Washington ski world who is known as "Scorpion Lady". Among other interesting traits she has, she cuts the tails off her skis and if you're lucky enough to ride a lift with her will regale you endlessly and relentlessly on why they're so much better that way.

Riding HC one morning, I saw her making a trench riding backseat on those shorty's. Deep, somewhat heavy snow at least a foot deep but a continuous track / no falls. Looked like a standing glissade maneuver with poles. There was a pretty old dude on Scorpions I rode a chair with. Was pissed a snowboarder shoved him off a chair for bitching about a cigarette the kid had lit. Me, I woulda grabbed the shit with everything I got & made sure he was on the bottom when we hit.

Just like 2020 Toyota Trucks w/30k miles selling for $65k-$70k in the Denver area. So damn funny, people are so incredibly stupid these days.

$500 seems about right. Must have added an extra zero.
