That's a nice looking bike.
Edit: photo removed to avoid confusion since it was of the wrong bike.Last edited by D(C); 05-16-2013 at 05:00 PM.

wouldn't there need to be a pivot between the chainstay and seatstay for a horst link?

Gotcha. Reading is hard so I only looked at the pic.

Given the shock placement, it seems like there might be something else going on beyond just a horst link.
I'm going to go ahead and call it as the return of the RTS.

How about this? Looks a lot like the bike I posted before. Clearly not the same bike that's in the ad (look at the shock placement) but something's up.

For those interested, lots of big-wheeled prototypes here: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Bikes-o...ld-Series.html

the prototype bike dan atherton is riding doesn't really intrigue me nearly as much as the bike in the advertisment. As a current GT carbon force owner, i am not a fan of the i-drive platform, it pedals amazingly well but it just doesn't suck up the bumps nearly as well like a enduro, bronson, slayer (pretty much anything else in the 150-160mm bike category). I am definitely curious about a new GT suspension platform, but not so much a i-drive GT with bigger wheels.

Ya, it has all been done. Just wait til I release my 26.75 wheels complete with full swinga ma jiggy thingy made of paladium, gonna be 112% stiffer than anything else on the market. It will dominate the market.
I couldn't help myself, I have such a love/ hate of the bike industry.

Has anyone actually got any ride time on one of these? Got a line on them, not sure if they're any good.

Nobody has any time on these guys yet. Well worth the look though. Should eat bumps better than the Fury of old (more rearword axle path...I think). Looks fast.
