    Google Earth Timelapse 1984-present

Pretty incredible piece over at Time. Google earth timelapse. Jon Woods is the executive producer of the piece that unveils the project on Time and he is an acquaintance of mine that used to live here in town and comes back now and then to barefoot waterski with us. Super cool guy. He took the picture linked in my profile back when he worked for the local rag.

That's pretty cool. You can type in any location you want. Try Issaquah, WA for what seems to be some pretty staggering urban sprawl on the Issaquah plateau and and Snoqualmie Ridge areas.

Most of the larger lakes in the Middle East get diverted for irrigation.

The Las Vegas one is scary, growing like bacteria on a petri dish.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

Why go so far. Just check out the Great Salt Lake or little Rush Lake South of it.

Rainforest disappearing. We are removing the lungs of our finite home.

The Arctic sea ice time lapses are just as dramatic.

Well we need water for our crops and it has to come from somewhere.... So consume less or drain earth's resources.
