    Most skied colorado back country?

I proclaimed it in another thread as Loveland pass. Another confidently proclaimed me wrong. In my narcissistic need to be right, or at least informed, what gets more traffic? I lived in several locals in southern and then the front range. I know most of the state well, but admittedly moved away a decade ago.

I would have said in order:

    1.) Loveland Pass
    2.) Berthod Pass
    3.) Vail pass
4.) Maybe red mountain or one of the others between Silverton and Purgatory?

    Teach me and thanks.

Loveland hands down. I've seen smaller lift lines at Vail on a powder on a holiday weekend than the lines of people waiting for a ride back to the top of LL Pass.

Loveland pass gets the most traffic just by the shear number of gapes without gear doing the road hit on the north side.

Berthoud gets the most traffic by people with gear who skin and usually have an idea of what they're doing.

I believe the person telling you were wrong was saying that sheep creek area on loveland pass does not see remotely close to the amount of traffic as the standard road hits.

rt or left off of the top, north or south, it is all very busy by back country standards up there.

I was just curious what I didn't know about.

Sheep creek is in the same proximity as Loveland Pass, but access is different and much more difficult. The road hit might see 1000 + laps a day, where sheep creek usually doesnt see any

I agree with Blurred. LL pass hands down. A busy saturday there is pretty darn nuts.
