More meadow skipping - Twin One central - the Asian Express

Half the azn backcountry skiing population of South West BC ventured out on April 16th to look at the Twin One glacier. I had skied the couloir, the right fork, the centre fork, the E face Matier direct but not the left fork

To remedy this astounding lack of thoroughness, I persuaded Grahame to pick me up at 4am from Van. At 8am we sat on Vantage Col with snow coming down 1cms/hour. C'est la vie.... but wait. The skies cleared and light beckoned

    So up we go

Light was in and out. Snowpack has been binary so neither of us were interested in playing steep ski roulette. It was getting warm. We go down.

I love that area. Nice turn with the big cheese-ball grin
I can't believe you are a rando racer because I look so much better in Lycra than you.

People who don't think the Earth is flat haven't skied Vail.
