Anyone ever use Silk Road?
First of all, gotta offer up a big "HOWDY" to the maggots. Been a long time since I've posted around here. I do think about you guys all the time though.
OK, now for my question. Anyone ever made purchases using Silk Road? Checking into it's use, but a bit skeeved out by the general concept. If you know what Silk Road is, then you likely know the goods I'm interested in purchasing.
Thanks in advance for any help the maggot collective can offer!!!Of all the muthafuckas on earth, you the muthafuckest.

Holding the bitcoins seems like more of a risk than the site itself.

Don't do it. Pretty sure the Stasi is watching that closely.

No doubt there's a big time bubble in the bitcoin market. Wishing I had invested a while ago. When I first started paying attention to them, they were in the ~$100USD range, and now they're in the $230-240USD range. Sure would have been nice to double my money!
I think you guys are right. If it smells like a duck....Of all the muthafuckas on earth, you the muthafuckest.

Yeah, I figured after the article on Silk Road hit the public, they'd be under way more scrutiny. My only hope was that buying like 7 grams or less would fly under the radar. Clearly too small an amount to be for purposes of distribution and hopefully too small an amount for cops to give a shit about. Still leery as hell about pulling the trigger though.

I know people who have done it. Worked for them.. But it was Awhile ago and they said it was super difficult. Seems sketch now.IMO just do it the old fashion way.... Network
"chuck norris doesn't read books.
He just stares them down until
he gets the information he wants!"

Talked to a kid that did this. He's a pharm major and loves him some Molly. He allegedly brought some to the school lab and tested it. Said it was damn near pure.
He never used his computer or his friends for transactions. Used an amex gift card (purchased with cash) to purchase the bitcoins. He lived in a apt that had like 15 different people live in it over a two year period. So it wasn't even shipped in his name. He told me about it afterwards and I couldn't find a way to connect him to the paper trail.

I've been tempted myself, but I just can't see it being cool any more. Way too much attention. Think about how awesome swapping MP3's used to be vs. all the shit that's infested the file sharing services any more and the number of people who end up with the RIAA up their ass... Once that shit goes public, it's done.

Buying illegal goods across state lines from anonymous strangers, on the internet, that are paid for with an arbitrary and decentralized currency... what could possibly go wrong??
