I’ve now cleaned up trash from the neighbors overstuffed cans for 5 weeks straight.

The truck comes late enough that if it's really windy at night then I set it out in the morning. And since the truck does an up and back route, I have two chances. Generally my neighbors have the overstuffed cans. We rarely fill either can, but the recycling one usually has more in it. And with only three of us here, it's almost a shame to get weekly pickup.

Agreed. I'm idly contemplating simply cancelling our trash/recycling service and just schlepping it once every couple months to the transfer station.

Amount of trash generated is some exponential function of the number of kids here. Thing#2 comes home in 3 weeks. And plans on commuting from here for his Jr and Sr year. We'll see how that goes.

I can see why a bear might dig through the trash and scatter dildos all over the place. They probably smell good and then the bear realizes they have no food value.

They have a good sense of time--after all they wake up in the spring without an alarm clock.

There used to be an Android audio app on my phone to play music that was on the device (Google Play?). A year or two ago that went away and was replaced by YouTube Music. For a while that allowed me to play the music on my device, but now anytime I'm in my car and tell it to play something from my phone it tells me "you need YouTube Premium to do that." WTF? Does anyone know of an app that works with Android Auto that allows me to play music on my phone rather than just streamed audio?

Yes, and you have to pay for it if you don't want ads. I shouldn't need to listen to ads when I play music I actually own (unless that's not the case for device files--I don't currently use Spotify).
