huh. good description. Didn't know these folks existed but I can definitely believe it.

edit: this site actually has some pretty cool shit. Also a bunch of stuff I have no idea what it is. https://urbanedcsupply.com/collections/all-available

No doubt some of the stuff is cool. But it's also a weirdly fetishistic world as you start to poke around.

That's just peacocking when a $165 brass pry bar already has a bottle opener.

My EDC list is pretty short: keys, wallet, phone. They don't need to match.

It's pretty amazing this is actually something some people think about. That site posted by iceman truly shows lots of people have way too much money on their hands.

I've got a friend who's a crazy gearhead like this. He's always posting photos on Instagram of things like knives that clearly have never been used to actually cut anything. WTF is the point?

It's just jewelry for dudes. Ugly weirdly contorted "functional" jewelry for dudes.

And would do much better to lose 10-15 pounds themselves

Oh, and don't forget the overlanders for your list. The people who make every imaginable upgrade to their rig and can tell you the brand name of every single one.

Bottle openers and knives seem like a great combo.

I've know about the EDC crowd for years, but never could figure out the paracord thing.

That website takes it to an entirely new hipster level (bottle opener holster?). I think it's for rich white male Democrats who shouldn't be allowed around firearms and really loved their swiss army knife as a kid.

And, no, I'm not a Republican, Hipster, etc.

There are stupid people everywhere but Costco in particular brings them out of the woodwork

Two spots open up on the left side. The lady next in line pulls ahead. Rather than take the middle pump, she parks at the far one forcing the truck behind her to try to parallel park in the middle, a near impossible task with the line of cars on the right. He did what he could but ended far enough out that the suburban was blocked in when it was done. Bravo lady!

Meanwhile pumps in front of me were all taken. After 3 or 4 minutes the truck at the farthest pump left. The other two cars each pulled ahead one pump. Shit heads were waiting this whole time rather than filling up??? Hadn't noticed as it's so normal now for people to get back in their cars and wait while the pump runs. And of course there's a big line behind them...

I did have one of their hotdogs today. Damn good. That onion cranking machine is so nostalgic. Was a bit pissed that they were out of kraut.

The barn is pine and cedar and has not been treated. Still looks great and has weathered nicely.

To a British custom tailor, "carry" means which side of the zipper your dick hangs on. "On what side do you carry, my lord." Apparently they make allowances for that in tailoring the pants.
