Just that they be straightforward about it.

Flying United BTV>EWR 1 way tomorrow morning to pick up a car I bought and drive home. Can't check in online because I am not checking a bag. They want to make sure I am not trying to sneak a piece of luggage on board. Fuck You!

When I lived in Fairbanks, it was called ‘arctic madness’ - you’re outside, been drinking coffee or beer, it’s 40 below, you got three inches of clothes and only two inches of dick.

And we are talking about a legit powder day, then it's a rush to finish and get back to making turns. That can be one hell of a way to annoy yourself on a powder day, with no choice but to suffer in silence or else face the ridicule of the ski group.

You had me at BTV and EWR. They both suck on their own. Add the two together and you have infinite suckage. At least you are not transferring in EWR. That is awful because of having to switch terminals on a bus. I have missed multiple connections there.

That I can relate to. Incentive to wash the ski gear more often than once a season...

Airport codes that bear little resemblance to the cities they're in annoy me.

Ha. At least both of those airport codes use letters that are in the city name. How about YYZ?

Although last year two poodles were found across Rt. 20 and up a hill after about five days in the same weather... so with a little luck they can survive.

Canadian airports start with CY so you only have to know the last two letters. It's my understanding that the letters correspond to whatever was originally at that location, i.e. a small town, or a train, telegraph, or weather station.

American airports start with K or P. The last three letters are usually from the city name or the name of the actual airfield (often a person's name). Some examples of the latter are JFK (obvious), OGG (Kahului/Maui - a guy named Hogg was one of the original Hawaiian Airlines pilots), and GEG (Spokane - Geiger Field).

Sometimes the letters are rearranged to avoid confusion with other airports, like Dulles is IAD (International Airport Dulles) to avoid confusion with DCA about 25 miles away.

Where it actually gets confusing is when the IATA (what you see) and the ICAO (official) codes are different, like LHR/EGLL or MBJ/MKJS.

I didn't realize Burlington was even big enough to have a bus stop.
