Furnace crapping out. It's Friday night, I should be enjoying these edibles, not stressing.

People that can’t shovel their walk by 5 days after a storm.
Yes it melts fast here.
Yes you still need to shovel.
I figure over the course of a mile walk there’s gonna be a few homes with elderly or sick people but not this many. Lazy asses.

Shit that annoys you
My ex is a pretty aggressive feminist. I mostly support it, but sometimes the volume is turned up a bit high and perspective goes to hell. Whatever, that’s why she’s my ex.
But my 13yo daughter is picking some of that up. I’m all for being strong and independent and demanding equality. But she just tried to lecture me that calling somebody “woman” was a pejorative and that no women liked being called “woman.” I told her that some choose to focus on more substantive matters, and most of the rest don’t actually find it insulting, and that the fringe choose to get triggered by it and it’s too bad they choose to waste their energy on that but whatever. Like I’m an authority, I guess.... but it’s annoying. So it belongs here.focus.

I seem to be developing a digestive intolerance to beer.

I should probably get it imaged, but it just doesn't present consistent with what I THINK I know about floating cartilage. Which, admitted, is not that much.
I was thinking it was the popliteus. My brother (professional coach) thinks it's the fib/tib muscles being underdeveloped. We are both idiots so that makes it harder.

That I was able to get sufficient medical advice from Google. The doctor visits were useless and confirmed what I found by myself.

Pretty mild dose but that was the last thing I wanted to deal with at the time. Was also dealing with the tail end of a flu. These type of issues seem to fall squarely on my shoulders in this household and it was getting cold, fast.
So panic called a company that said they could come that night, but in the meanwhile I discovered furnaces have error codes and I was actually able to fix it that night. Cancelled the service. What a relief.

When I get numerous messages that someone hacked our facebook and is trying to access Amazon, Ebay, and other sites. Almost predictable, I get an e-mail from Florida from nobody I know telling me I've been hacked and follow the "link" below to re-set my password. Sure buddy, go F urself.

When they let 5th graders write for what was once a pretty good magazine.

Right? I swear the last 4 things I had wrong with me I had already self-diagnosed through my own research. The doctor just verified it and wrote any script I may have needed.
After watching the Frontline on AI last night, there may come a time in the near future that human doctors are less important.

I'm all too familiar with this as well. I wrecked on the bike 12 days ago and got a Grade III concussion. I'm going to do the prudent thing and follow up with a TBI specialist next week. I expect the outcome of that appointment is going to be "Well, it sounds like you're already doing everything you're supposed to be doing. Have a nice day, here's your bill."

Trying to car shop "locally" online. Now when you do a search within a certain radius, every nationwide dealer's vehicles show up in the results. Carvana's REALLY starting to irritate me. If I can't test drive it WITHOUT having it delivered across the country or to pay for the car first (like Carvana makes you do), then it's not a "local" car for sale, jerks.

Shit that annoys you
Newspaper “charity” ads. In one of our markets we have a local rag that pressures us to buy ads for causes. Most recent is for Veteran’s Day. It’s a full page ad, with a link and some language about the VA, and if we throw money at them they’ll put our logo on the bottom along with the 40 other businesses they sucker into throwing them money, with a line that says “We support our Veterans, and these committed sponsors do too!”
Exactly $0 goes to any veterans, unless they happen to have veterans on the payroll. It’s a scam.Last edited by Mustonen; 11-06-2019 at 04:31 PM.
