And some just have a picture of a gas pump positioned to match which side the filler is on.

I thought the right side vs left gas fill had more to do with foreign car vs domestic.
but ya that little arrow on the gas tank gage is going to be life changing for those of you that never noticed it prior. so handy with rental cars when you are in a rush to get to the airport and still need to fill up

You'll still need to find the lever that opens the flap though..

Our Tie-oh-duh's both have left hand, the VW is on the right. Former is made in USA, latter is made in Mexico.

Itís entertaining reading through all the crazy rationales people offer for which side the gas cap goes on. Pretty sure itís whichever side costs least to design and manufacture, and if itís more or less equal they stick it on the left.
    focus.

Yeah, I think more Japanese, Korean (Asian) vehicles are left side and domestic and some German on the right.

One of the many things I learned from Car Talk is that in 99% of cars, the fill tube is on the opposite side of the exhaust.

Ya know, of the four vehicles I've owned, only one has had a locking door/flap. All were Japanese. Two had fillers on the left, two on the right. And all of them were produced this century.

On my wife's Mazda it right next to the identically shaped hood release.

I have noticed the hood is accidentally unlatched numerous times.

Obviously, the regulations trump all else, but after that it's engineers > designers > policy.

Toyota Sienna 2011 too. In the 2016 Highlander they mercifully made the gas lever into a button, so it is a lot more obvious.

Somebodyís horse got tangled up in some fencing in the middle of my land (no clue how he got there). About 50í of fence torn up, barbed wire all messed up. I thought it might have been one of the many mule deer who cross through here; but thereís horseshit amongst the carnage, and the fence has clearly been cut to free the animal. I donít really give a shit about the fence; the fact that whoever cut it didnít bother to come tell about it annoys me.

I had an old Buick when I was a kid with the flip down license plate. It was nice cause you could pull up to either side of the pump.

Maybe they don't know the land is connected to your house? Also could be more concerned with getting the treatment for the horse and may come by later?

As a life long horse person this idea would never have occurred to me and I doubt my horse friends consider it either.

Itís only a hundred yards from my house, and right by my driveway. They knew it was my fence. I think I know who did it; Iíll give them a week before I ask.
