Someone was using the leaf blower for hours uninterrupted a little while ago. Close enough to hear but not too close. Until it stopped I thought my tinnitus had suddenly gotten worse.

After 35 years I had to replace the rusted out case for my Sawzall. The saw won't fit in the new plastic one unless I take off the blade, even the 6 inch one. It fit fine with the short blade in the old case.

Found out that our son was exposed to covid over the weekend. Now we're trying to make sure we do everything we're supposed to do per health dept

Local dept of health HAS ONE FUCKING PERSON managing this stuff so "she'll call us back".

Even better...when the school nurse called to tell me I asked what we needed to do next..."I don't know...We're looking into it "

My wife's grandmother passed away recently. Her 94 year old grandfather (who thinks COVID is hoax) scheduled the funeral for late November in Florida. I have to convince my wife not to go to her grandmother's super spreader funeral and I look like an asshole already for mentioning it.

Someone the other day, can't recall if it was Fauchi or our state health director or that of another, that it's close gatherings where people feel a relative sense of ease since they "know" everyone that are really spreading the disease; weddings, funerals, holiday gatherings.

Add Florida to all that and it's a big ol' nope.

Ah. So funerals and such are the problem. What are your thoughts on THESE types of gatherings? Equally irresponsible, or perfectly justifiable due to the nature of it?

Surprisingly few cases of COVID coming froM these protests over the summer. Having to wear a gas mask to exercise your constitutional right does a good job of containing the spread.

If wife goes to funeral quarantine her in a motel for 2 weeks. Preferably one that rents rooms by the hour. And start looking at dating sites, in case she does come down with the Covid and doesn't make it.
