And while the small of the back is nice, nobody needs to see anybody's coin slot, male or female. Please leave something to the imagination. And don't get me started on the whole Whale's Tail look. As a guy who practically lives in airports, the entire spectrum from 'you'll regret it' to 'that was almost good' exists. But for the casual traveller it's a crap shoot.

My son took me to the USO at the Denver airport for a free meal during a layover--hot dog on a stale bun. some chips. the soldiers deserve better but I guess they're limited by not have health dept certification to do more and by money. The soldiers deserve better though. I left a couple of 20's in the donation box, so it was an expensive hot dog.

i generally do that. i can't stomach the prices at the airport and the food on the plane comes out in basically the same colors and shapes it went in. 24 hour travel days and 48 hours with no sleep make me mentally weak sometimes.

the food is comparable to the same chains that exist outside the airport. i just can't bring myself to pay 2-3 times as much.

Most airports have a spot where you can grab a yogurt, apple, string cheese, etc. Sure it's a bit more expensive, but you don't HAVE to just eat a bunch of junk.

Full disclosure: I usually just eat the junk.
